Visible color-center laser in diamond [PDF]
Laser action at 530 nm using H3 centers in diamond was observed with an efficiency of 13.5% at room temperature. Optical double-resonance experiments on N3 centers provided direct evidence for a (2)A metastable level. Its presence results in rapid decay of the excited (2)E state and low quantum efficiency as well as significant excited-state absorption

ABSTRACT Background An internal tandem duplication in the gene encoding Fms‐like tyrosine kinase 3 (FLT3‐ITD) is associated with high relapse risk and poor prognosis in acute myeloid leukemia (AML) and plays a crucial role in treatment decisions. Measurable residual disease (MRD) analysis of FLT3‐ITD during and after treatment has shown prognostic ...

Color centers-electrons trapped by the defects in insulating crystals-can be used for optically pumped lasers, which are broadly tunable over a wide range of ultraviolet, visible, and most importantly, infrared of 0.8-4 μm. Almost all the color center lasers are capable of cw and cw-mode-locked operation.

We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

Ab Initio Magneto-Optical Spectrum of Group-IV Vacancy Color Centers in Diamond [PDF]
Group-IV -- Vacancy color centers in diamond are fast emerging qubits that can be harnessed in quantum communication and sensor applications. There is an immediate quest for understanding their magneto-optical properties, in order to select the ...

Fabrication and quantum sensing of spin defects in silicon carbide
In the past decade, color centers in silicon carbide (SiC) have emerged as promising platforms for various quantum information technologies. There are three main types of color centers in SiC: silicon-vacancy centers, divacancy centers, and nitrogen ...

In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.

Color Centers in Additively Colored CsBr
Color centers have been studied in CsBr single crystals additively colored with potassium or cesium. More than ten absorption bands were produced, most of which had previously been found in crystals colored by ionizing radiation. All bands produced by irradiation at or above liquid nitrogen temperature appear to arise from trapped electrons.

Structural and biochemical characterisations show that the planar cell polarity (PCP) protein Inturned harbours a unique PDZ‐like domain that does not bind canonical PDZ‐binding motifs (PBMs) like that of another PCP protein Vangl2. In contrast, the apical‐basal polarity protein Scribble contains four PDZ domains that bind Vangl2, but one PDZ domain ...
