Liver resection for non-colorectal metastases [PDF]
Whereas liver resection for colorectal metastasis has become standard of care, hepatectomy in patients with non-colorectal metastases remains controversial, mainly due to a heterogeneous tumor biology and missing data from prospective trials. This review aims at giving an overview about the indications and limits of liver surgery in patients with an ...

SURGICAL OUTCOMES AND PROGNOSTIC FACTORS IN PATIENTS WITH SYNCHRONOUS COLORECTAL LIVER METASTASES
Context Colorectal cancer is the second most prevalent cancer worldwide, and the liver is the most common site of metastases. Surgical resection of colorectal liver metastases provides the sole possibility of cure and the best odds of long-term survival.

Dysregulated protein modifications drive tumorigenesis. RINES, an E3 ubiquitin ligase, represses tumor cell proliferation and metastasis by facilitating RING domain‐dependent, ubiquitin–proteasome‐mediated degradation of STAT3 and MYC, which consequently restrains cancer stemness and oncogenic progression.

Selenium Nanoparticles Selectively Target KRAS G13D to Inhibit Colorectal Cancer
The mechanisms of SeNPs therapy in cancer treatment, encompass three parallel actions: (1) seleno‐amino acids, key metabolites, upregulate GPX2 expression, thereby inhibiting tumor metastasis via the GPX2‐HIF1α‐VEGF signaling pathway; (2) selenite (SeO32−), an inorganic metabolite, forms hydrogen bonds with amino acid residues 13–17 of the KRAS G13D ...

A previously unrecognized microprotein, MP104, encoded by ZEB1‐AS1, emerges as a critical driver of colorectal cancer progression. MP104 links ubiquitin‐mediated protein degradation with translational reprogramming via the UBE2O–AMPKα2–mTOR–EIF4B axis, revealing an unrecognized layer of oncogenic regulation.

Model illustrating the proposed mechanism by which chemotherapy‐induced downregulation of OGT disrupts SNAP29 O‐GlcNAcylation, promoting STX17‐SNAP29‐VAMP8 SNARE complex assembly and protective autophagy, leading to chemoresistance, which in turn establishes a feedforward loop to perpetuate drug tolerance.
