Larson's third law and the universality of molecular cloud structure

open access: yes, 2010
Larson (1981) first noted a scaling relation between masses and sizes in molecular clouds that implies that these objects have approximately constant column densities.

Adaptor protein CIN85 potentiates the motility of osteosarcoma cells via the Akt/mTOR and MMP2‐COL3A1 axis

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
CIN85 is highly expressed in osteosarcoma, particularly in metastatic lesions. Its overexpression increases cell migration and Matrigel invasion, while silencing CIN85 suppresses these behaviors. Transcriptome analysis shows that CIN85 regulates MMP2, COL3A1, and Akt/mTOR signaling. Targeting these pathways reverses CIN85‐induced motility, highlighting

Prestressed Stainless Steel Stayed Columns with Two Crossarms [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
The efficiency of prestressed stayed elements when designing very slender steel columns was proved for both stability and strength capacity of the columns.

The power spectrum of the Lyman-alpha clouds

open access: yes, 1999
We investigate the clustering properties of 13 QSO lines of sight in flat space, with average redshifts from z~2 to 4. We estimate the 1-D power spectrum and the integral density of neighbours, and discuss their variation with respect to redshift and ...

Longitudinal circulating tumor DNA profiling in patients with advanced endometrial cancer using an off‐the‐shelf targeted NGS panel

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Intratumour heterogeneity complicates precision management of advanced endometrial cancer. Circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) offers a minimally invasive strategy to capture tumor evolution and therapeutic resistance. Here, we compare tumor‐agnostic NGS with tumor‐informed ddPCR, outlining their relative sensitivity, concordance, and clinical implications ...

Polish Felieton and English Column in the Light of the Existing Research

open access: yesStyles of Communication, 2013
Felieton and column are very difficult to characterize, inasmuch as one of their most prominent feature is the lack of consistency in form and structure. However, among the abundance of features, certain similarities may be found.

Interaction of HS1BP3 with cortactin modulates TKS5 localisation, cell secretion and cancer malignancy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Here, we demonstrate that HS1BP3 interacts with Cortactin through a proline‐rich region (PRR3.1) and show that this interaction, and HS1BP3 itself, promote cancer cell proliferation and invasion. Inhibition of this interaction leads to build‐up of TKS5 in multivesicular endosomes and altered secretion of CD63 and CD9, providing an explanation for the ...

Influence of residual stress on the stability of steel columns at elevated temperatures

open access: yesJournal of Civil Engineering and Management, 2017
Influence of residual stresses on the stability of steel columns with various sections at elevated temperatures has been studied. The potential effect of residual stresses on the stability of columns should be clarified, as the stability of compression ...

A Multi-Species Model for Hydrogen and Helium Absorbers in Lyman-Alpha Forest Clouds

open access: yes, 1995
We have performed a multi-species hydrodynamical simulation of the formation and evolution of Lyman alpha clouds in a flat CDM dominated universe with an external flux of ionizing radiation.

Clinical performance of the urine‐based TERT promoter AbsoluteQ Digital PCR for non‐invasive detection of bladder cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
A urine‐based digital PCR assay targeting two hotspot TERT promoter variants detected bladder cancer with high sensitivity and no false positives in this case–control cohort. The streamlined AbsoluteQ workflow outperformed Sanger sequencing and supports non‐invasive molecular testing for bladder cancer detection.
