A Problem in Combinations [PDF]
Given sets of balls of different colours, in how many ways may they be arranged in line so that no two balls of the same colour shall come together. If we have two colours only, and the same number ‘m of each colour, there are evidently two arrangements possible; if we have m, m – 1 respectively, only one arrangement is possible; if we have m, m – 2 ...

A Method for the Combination of Stochastic Time Varying Load Effects [PDF]
The problem of evaluating the probability that a structure becomes unsafe under a combination of loads, over a given time period, is addressed. The loads and load effects are modeled as either pulse (static problem) processes with random occurrence ...

A Closed-Form Solution to the Arbitrary Order Cauchy Problem with Propagators [PDF]
The general abstract arbitrary order (N) Cauchy problem was solved in a closed form as a sum of exponential propagator functions. The infinite sparse exponential series was solved with the aid of a homogeneous differential equation. It generated a linear

Cell wall target fragment discovery using a low‐cost, minimal fragment library
LoCoFrag100 is a fragment library made up of 100 different compounds. Similarity between the fragments is minimized and 10 different fragments are mixed into a single cocktail, which is soaked to protein crystals. These crystals are analysed by X‐ray crystallography, revealing the binding modes of the bound fragment ligands.
