Combinatorial Auction Design [PDF]
Combinatorial auctions allow for more expressive bidding in which participants can submit package bids with logical constraints that limit allowable outcomes. This type of auction can be useful when participants' values are complementary or when participants have production and financial constraints.

Covering the Combinatorial Design Space of Multiplex CRISPR/Cas Experiments in Plants [PDF]
Over the past years, CRISPR/Cas-mediated genome editing has revolutionized plant genetic studies and crop breeding. Specifically, due to its ability to simultaneously target multiple genes, the multiplex CRISPR/Cas system has emerged as a powerful ...

Optimal Combinatorial Mechanism Design [PDF]
We consider an optimal mechanism design problem with several heterogeneous objects and interdependent values. We characterize ex post incentives using an appropriate monotonicity condition and reformulate the problem in such a way that the choice of an ...

Derandomizing Compressed Sensing With Combinatorial Design [PDF]
Compressed sensing is the art of effectively reconstructing structured n-dimensional vectors from substantially fewer measurements than naively anticipated. A plethora of analytical reconstruction guarantees support this credo.

SamplingDesign: RNA design via continuous optimization with coupled variables and Monte-Carlo sampling [PDF]
RNA design aims to find a sequence that can fold into a target secondary structure. It can create artificial RNA molecules for specific functions, with wide applications in medicine.

Latin Matchings and Ordered Designs OD(n−1, n, 2n−1)
This paper revisits a combinatorial structure called the large set of ordered design (LOD). Among others, we introduce a novel structure called Latin matching and prove that a Latin matching of order n leads to an LOD(n−1, n, 2n−1); thus, we obtain ...

Mosaics of combinatorial designs [PDF]
Looking at incidence matrices of $t$-$(v,k,λ)$ designs as $v \times b$ matrices with $2$ possible entries, each of which indicates incidences of a $t$-design, we introduce the notion of a $c$-mosaic of designs, having the same number of points and blocks, as a matrix with $c$ different entries, such that each entry defines incidences of a design.
