The corrosion performance of AlSi7Mg and AlSi10Mg alloys produced through selective laser melting (SLM) was examined under compressive stress in a chloride environment. Electrochemical analyses, including open‐circuit potential (OCP), potentiodynamic polarization (CPP), and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS), were complemented by scanning ...

Solving Probabilistic Combinatorial Games [PDF]
Probabilistic combinatorial games (PCGs) are a model for Go-like games recently introduced by Ken Chen. They differ from normal combinatorial games since terminal positions in each subgame are evaluated by a probability distribution. The distribution expresses the uncertainty in the local evaluation.

Low‐cycle fatigue damage in Mn–Mo–Ni reactor pressure vessel steel is examined using a combined electron backscatter diffraction and positron annihilation lifetime spectroscopy approach. The study correlates texture evolution, dislocation substructure development, and vacancy‐type defect formation across uniform, necked, and fracture regions, providing

High‐frequency (HF) welding of steel is limited by oxide inclusions that degrade weld quality. This study demonstrates, for the first time, the integration of a nonthermal Ar/H2 dielectric barrier discharge (DBD) plasma jet into HF welding. Local plasma treatment provides effective shielding and in‐situ oxide reduction, resulting in markedly fewer and ...

Beyond Value Iteration for Parity Games: Strategy Iteration with Universal Trees [PDF]
Parity games have witnessed several new quasi-polynomial algorithms since the breakthrough result of Calude et al. (STOC 2017). The combinatorial object underlying these approaches is a universal tree, as identified by Czerwiński et al. (SODA 2019).

Combinatorial Game Complexity: An Introduction with Poset Games
Poset games have been the object of mathematical study for over a century, but little has been written on the computational complexity of determining important properties of these games. In this introduction we develop the fundamentals of combinatorial game theory and focus for the most part on poset games, of which Nim is perhaps the best-known ...

Geometry‐driven thermal behavior in wire‐arc additive manufacturing (WAAM) influences microstructural evolution during nonequilibrium solidification of a chemically complex Fe–Cr–Nb–W–Mo–C nanocomposite system. By comparing different deposits configurations, distinct entropy–cooling rate correlations, segregation, and carbide evolution are revealed ...

Effect of Laser Deoxidation on Adhesive‐Bonded Aluminum in an Oxygen‐Free Atmosphere
This study investigates laser ablation of aluminum under oxygen‐free conditions. The goal is to produce oxide‐free substrates that enable improved adhesive bonding with epoxy. Optimized laser parameters (90% overlap, 300 µJ) combined with oxide‐free substrates result in the highest tensile strength of the adhesive bond.

This paper examines two classical combinatorial games, Nim and the Domino Game on Linear Strips, through the shared principles of parity, recursion, and binary structure. It begins by formalizing Nim, where each position’s outcome is determined by the Nim-sum (bitwise XOR) of heap sizes: positions with zero Nim-sum are losing, and optimal play involves

Simple Combinatorial Optimisation Cost Games [PDF]
In this paper we introduce the class of simple combinatorial optimisation cost games, which are games associated to {0, 1}-matrices.A coalitional value of a combinatorial optimisation game is determined by solving an integer program associated with this ...
