On asymptotic behaviour for probabilities of moderate deviations of combinatorial sums
We investigate an asymptotic behaviour for probabilities of moderate deviations of combinatorial sums of independent random variables having moments of order p > 2. We find zones in which these probabilities are equivalent to the tail of the standard normal law.

Epilepsy‐Associated Variants of a Single SCN1A Codon Exhibit Divergent Functional Properties
ABSTRACT Objective Pathogenic variants in SCN1A, which encodes the voltage‐gated sodium channel NaV1.1, are associated with multiple epilepsy syndromes exhibiting a range of clinical severity. SCN1A variants are reported in different syndromes, including Dravet syndrome, which is associated with loss‐of‐function, whereas neonatal/infantile‐onset ...

Non-Solvable Equation Systems with Graphs Embedded in Rn [PDF]
Different from the homogenous systems, a Smarandache system is a contra- dictory system in which an axiom behaves in at least two different ways within the same system, i.e., validated and invalided, or only invalided but in multiple distinct ...

Quantum groups versus combinatorics in free probability
I will give a general introduction to compact matrix quantum groups and then focus in a survey talk on those of combinatorial type. These include Banica-Speicher's orthogonal easy quantum groups using partitions; the unitary easy quantum groups ...

ABSTRACT Objective Intravenous thrombolysis (IVT) before thrombectomy for ischemic stroke may alter clot structure and procedural performance. We investigated how IVT relates to thrombectomy metrics across stroke etiologies. Methods We performed a time‐to‐event analysis of consecutive patients with anterior circulation large vessel occlusion (acLVO ...

Diagonal Asymptotics for Products of Combinatorial Classes
We generalize and improve recent results by Bóna and Knopfmacher and by Banderier and Hitcz-enko concerning the joint distribution of the sum and number of parts in tuples of restricted compositions.

Inductive Construction of Variational Quantum Circuit for Constrained Combinatorial Optimization
In this study, we propose a new method for constrained combinatorial optimization using variational quantum circuits. Quantum computers are considered to have the potential to solve large combinatorial optimization problems faster than classical ...

Thermodynamic model of gene regulation for the Or59b olfactory receptor in Drosophila.
Complex eukaryotic promoters normally contain multiple cis-regulatory sequences for different transcription factors (TFs). The binding patterns of the TFs to these sites, as well as the way the TFs interact with each other and with the RNA polymerase ...

Relationship Between Neurologic Symptoms and Signs and FMR1 Genotype in Premutation Carriers
ABSTRACT Background and Objectives Fragile X‐associated Tremor/Ataxia Syndrome (FXTAS) is the most severe late‐onset condition caused by a premutation in the FMR1 gene, characterized by expanded CGG triplet repeats of 55–200. Clinical presentations of FXTAS, including gait ataxia, kinetic tremor, cognitive decline, and rare Parkinsonism, are linked to ...
