THE FIRST EXPERIENCE OF USING LOCAL HYPERTHERMIA IN COMBINED MODALITY TREATMENT OF OPERABLE NON-SMALL CELL LUNG CANCER

open access: yesСибирский онкологический журнал, 2016
The paper presents the first experience in treating 5 patients with stage II–III non-small cell lung cancer using combined modality treatment including 40 Gy preoperative hyperfractionated radiotherapy with concurrent 2 cycles of paclitaxel/carboplatin ...

Full‐Field Damage Monitoring in Architected Lattices Using In situ Electrical Impedance Tomography

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
In situ electrical impedance tomography (EIT) turns 3D‐printed, CNT‐infused architected lattices into full‐field damage‐imaging systems. Tunable Voronoi‐based geometries act as active sensing architectures, enabling conductivity maps to detect early‐stage damage and localise sequential ligament fracture before catastrophic failure.

XTRUDE: A Process‐Informed Framework for High‐Fidelity Analysis of Hydrogel Extrusion

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Extrusion performance emerges from the interplay between material properties and processing conditions. XTRUDE (eXTrusion Rheology for Understanding and Defining Extrudability) recreates the extrusion environment with in situ pressure and temperature sensing, enabling characteristic pressure signatures to quantify extrusion‐specific phenomena and ...

Engineering a Fluorinated AlPO4 Interface: Toward High Initial Coulombic Efficiency and Stable Oxygen Redox in Li‐Rich Layered Oxide Cathodes

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
We report a chemically incorporated fluorinated AlPO4 (AlPO4‐F) architecture that functions as a multifunctional “interfacial fortress” for Li‐rich layered oxides (LLOs). By modulating the surface potential to –32.16 mV, this architecture enriches Li+ concentration and repels detrimental electrolyte anions.

Incorporation of radiotherapy fractionation in the combined-modality treatment of limited small-cell lung cancer.

open access: yes, 1993
Although systemic failure continues to plague patients receiving combined-modality treatment for limited small-cell lung cancer (SCLC), improvements in chemotherapy, including use of cisplatin/etoposide-based regimens, and radiotherapy have produced ...

Degradable, Skin‐Conformal Nanocomposite‐Based Bioelectronic Patches for High‐Fidelity Electrophysiology and Gesture‐Controlled Robotics

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A degradable, skin‐conformal bioelectronic patch combines a starch‐dominated nanocomposite conductor with a gelatin substrate to enable sensitive strain sensing, high‐fidelity electrocardiography, electromyography, electrooculography, and machine‐learning‐assisted gesture control.
