Pyrolysis and combustion characteristics of coals in oxyfuel combustion

Applied Energy, 2012
Abstract Oxyfuel combustion technology is one of the near-zero emission clean coal technologies, which can realise the large-scale CO 2 capture, low NO x emission, and easier removing of SO 2 . This paper describes the characteristics of pyrolysis, gasification and combustion of coals and chars in oxyfuel combustion applying the non-isothermal ...

Combustion Characteristics of Boron Nanoparticles

46th AIAA Aerospace Sciences Meeting and Exhibit, 2008
Abstract An experimental investigation of the combustion characteristics of boron nanoparticles in the post flame region of a flat flame burner has been conducted. Boron is attractive as a fuel or a fuel supplement in propellants and explosives due to its high heats of combustion on both a gravimetric and volumetric basis. A relatively large database

Investigation of the combustion characteristics and the emissions characteristics with diesel low-temperature combustion

Proceedings of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, Part D: Journal of Automobile Engineering, 2013
Diesel low-temperature combustion is one of the new combustion technologies. Exhaust gas recirculation is an important measure required to realize low-temperature combustion. The paper mainly investigated the combustion characteristics and the emissions characteristics with diesel low-temperature combustion.

Combustion characteristics of crystalline oxidizers.

AIAA Journal, 1967
Abstract : Various modifications to the monopropellant solid oxidizer ammonium perchlorate are described. Cation replacement, or 'doping' of AP by Sr(++) ion and deuteration to provide ND4ClO4 did not alter the burning rate from that of pure NH4ClO4 at 14.7 psia.

Combustion characteristics of biodried sewage sludge

Waste Management, 2018
In this study, effects of biodrying on the characteristics of sewage sludge and the subsequent combustion behavior were investigated. 7-Day of biodrying removed 49.78% of water and 23.17% of VS initially contained in the sewage sludge and increased lower heating value (LHV) by 37.87%.
