Reflexive transnational law : the privatisation of civil law and the civilisation of private law [PDF]

Seasonal Variation of the Effects of Phylogenetic Relatedness and Functional Similarity Among Heterospecific Neighbors and Habitat on Seedling Survival in a Subtropical Forest in Gaoligong Mountains, Southwest China

open access: yesEcology and Evolution, Volume 16, Issue 2, February 2026.
Based on seedling dynamic data from a subtropic forest in Southwest China, we found phylogenetic negative density dependence (PNDD) and functional negative density dependence (FNDD) on seedling survival in the rainy season, but not in the dry season.

Edaphic effects on forest structure and tree species composition in three seasonally dry tropical forest types in Cambodia

open access: yesNordic Journal of Botany, Volume 2026, Issue 2, February 2026.
Soil conditions are critical factors shaping forest structure and tree species composition in seasonally dry tropical forests (SDTFs); however, few studies have evaluated edaphic effects in Cambodia's unique lowland forest landscape, where different forest types coexist under similar climatic conditions.

Integrated demographic strategies are more strongly associated with variation in conspecific density dependence than single traits in tropical tree seedlings

open access: yesJournal of Ecology, Volume 114, Issue 2, February 2026.
Species‐specific conspecific negative density dependence (CNDD) varied widely among tropical tree species. CNDD was strongest in fast‐growing species and tall, long‐lived pioneers, weakly related to most functional traits except wood density and strongest in rare species. These results show that integrated life‐history strategies explain CNDD variation

Contrast in Mycorrhizal Associations Leads to Divergent Rhizosphere Metabolomes and Plant–Soil Feedback Among Grassland Species

open access: yesEcology Letters, Volume 29, Issue 2, February 2026.
Most terrestrial plants are colonised by arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi but vary in the degree to which they benefit from and depend on these fungi. Here we show that plants can make the interaction with mycorrhizal fungi more beneficial to themselves by regulating the chemical composition of organic compounds released by plant roots into the soil ...

Validation of a candidate international harmonisation protocol‐compliant measurement procedure for reticulocyte counting using an erythrocyte gating strategy excluding the platelet component

open access: yesCytometry Part B: Clinical Cytometry, Volume 110, Issue 1, Page 47-56, January 2026.
Abstract The International Harmonisation Protocol (IHP) for Reticulocyte Percentage (%Retic) in CLSI‐H44‐A2 is a microscopic procedure performed on a new‐methylene‐blue‐stained blood film (NMB‐IHP). However, IHP‐compliant Measurement Procedures (MPs) based on flow cytometry (FCM) are recommended for practical and accurately assigned reference values ...

Of Hubs and Hinterlands: Cyprus as an Insular Space of Overlapping Diasporas [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
This paper uses the metaphor of diasporic hubs and hinterlands to document and analyse the various diasporic formations that overlap and encounter each other on the divided island of Cyprus.
