Low-voltage balanced transconductorwith high input common-mode rejection

open access: yesElectronics Letters, 1994
A balanced transconductor architecture with a high input common-mode (CM) rejection and capable of operating with low supply voltage is proposed. The novel structure is based on a feedforward cancellation of the input CM signal, implemented with an additional transconductor sensitive only to CM signals.

The skills required for transition to university and study in biological sciences: A student perspective

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Bioscience students were asked for their opinions on the value and teaching of skills. 204 responded that teamwork, time management and study skills are necessary to reach University, that scientific writing, research, laboratory and presentation skills are taught effectively during their studies, while other skills are gained inherently through study ...

Common mode noise rejection in measurement channels [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
У вимірювальних каналах виникають два види завад: (і) нормального виду (викликані електромагнітним полем); (іі) загального виду (викликані різницею потенціалів сенсора та вимірювального каналу). Тому необхідне подавлення завади загального виду.

Derivation and characterization of retinal pigment epithelium from urine‐derived iPSCs

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Age‐related macular degeneration causes vision loss via RPE dysfunction and loss. Traditional iPSC therapies rely on invasive biopsies, limiting scalability. Here, we utilize urine‐derived stem cells as an accessible source to generate u‐iPSCs, successfully differentiated into pigmented RPE. This “Urine‐to‐Retina” platform provides a promising path for

Bandwidth and Common Mode Optimization for Current and Voltage Sources in Bioimpedance Spectroscopy

open access: yesJournal of Electrical Bioimpedance, 2021
Bioimpedance measurements use current or voltage sources to inject an excitation signal into the body. These sources require a high bandwidth, typically from 1 kHz to 1 MHz.

A Miniaturized Balanced-to-Unbalanced In-Phase Filtering Power Divider With Wide Upper Stopband and Wideband Common-Mode Suppression

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2021
A miniaturized balanced-to-unbalanced in-phase filtering power divider with wide upper stopband and wideband common-mode suppression is proposed. The in-phase feature is realized by the coupled/non-coupled lines.

Amplifier for measuring low-level signals in the presence of high common mode voltage [PDF]

open access: yes, 1985
A high common mode rejection differential amplifier wherein two serially arranged Darlington amplifier stages are employed and any common mode voltage is divided between them by a resistance network.

Molecular dynamics simulations of positively selected codons in FcγRI reveal novel biochemical binding properties

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Evolutionary analysis across 32 placental mammals identified positive selection at residues H148 and W149 in the immune receptor FcγR1. Ancestral reconstruction combined with molecular dynamics simulations reveals how these mutations may influence receptor structure and dynamics, providing insight into the evolution of antibody recognition and immune ...

Low cost instrumentation amplifier [PDF]

open access: yes, 1974
Amplifier can be used for many applications requiring high input impedance and common mode rejection, low drift, and gain accuracy on order of one percent. Performance of inexpensive amplifier approaches that of some commercial instrumentation amplifiers

Interdependent policy instrument preferences: a two-mode network approach [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
In policymaking, actors are likely to take the preferences of others into account when strategically positioning themselves. However, there is a lack of research that conceives of policy preferences as an interdependent system.
