Delay-Aware Multi-Layer Multi-Rate Model Predictive Control for Vehicle Platooning Under Message-Rate Congestion Control

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2022
Vehicle platooning is an enabler technology for increasing road capacity, improving safety and reducing fuel consumption. Platoon control is a two-layered system where each layer runs under a different communication standard and rate – (i) the ...

Inpatient Exposure, Confidence, and Knowledge in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology: Evaluating General Pediatric Residents During 2025 ACGME Curriculum Change

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background General pediatricians often evaluate hematologic and oncologic presentations before subspecialty consultation, yet the 2025 Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) pediatric requirements reduce inpatient pediatric hematology/oncology (PHO) time, raising questions about resident readiness.

Scheduling on Grid with communication Delay

open access: yesCoRR, 2015
Parallel processing, the core of High Performance Computing (HPC), was and still the most effective way in improving the speed of computer systems. For the past few years, the substantial developments in the computing power of processors and the network speed have strikingly changed the landscape of HPC.

Development and Implementation of a Disease‐Targeted Storybook as a Clinical Tool for Children With Acute Leukemia

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Although significant progress has been made in childhood leukemia survival, healthcare providers, and caregivers often face challenges in explaining this disease to patients. Disease‐targeted storybooks have been proposed as a tool to facilitate the understanding of diagnoses and treatment.

Gut microbiome and aging—A dynamic interplay of microbes, metabolites, and the immune system

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Age‐dependent shifts in microbial communities engender shifts in microbial metabolite profiles. These in turn drive shifts in barrier surface permeability of the gut and brain and induce immune activation. When paired with preexisting age‐related chronic inflammation this increases the risk of neuroinflammation and neurodegenerative diseases.

3DM-VFTA: A 3D Modeling-Assisted Teleoperation Architecture with Virtual Force-Tactile Feedback under Communication Delay

open access: yesGuidance, Navigation and Control
Communication delays are common in remote teleoperation tasks, which severely reduce system transparency, force feedback stability, and human operator immersion, thus imposing higher demands on the precision and safety of teleoperation systems.

Modulation of Homer1 EVH1 domain internal dynamics by putative autism‐associated mutations

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The putative autism‐associated M65I and S97L variants of the EVH1 domain of the postsynaptic scaffold protein Homer1 do not exhibit substantial changes in their overall structure or partner binding. Both of them, but especially the M65I variant, show altered internal dynamics relative to the wild‐type domain on the μs‐ms timescale, indicated by the ...

In fl uence of Communication Delay between the Master and Slave Control Locomotives on Longitudinal Impulse of 20 000 t Heavy-haul Train

open access: yes机车电传动, 2021
Focus on the communication delay between the master and slave control locomotive, a detailed longitudinal dynamic simulation model considering the communication delay was established based on the multi-body dynamics theory. The influence of communication
