2D Magnetic and Topological Quantum Materials and Devices for Ultralow Power Spintronics

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, Volume 36, Issue 44, 1 June 2026.
2D magnets and topological quantum materials enable ultralow‐power spintronics by combining robust magnetic order with symmetry‐protected, Berry‐curvature‐driven transport. Fundamentals of 2D anisotropy and spin‐orbit‐coupling induced band inversion are linked to scalable growth and vdW stacking.

Compact symmetric objects and supermassive binary black holes in the VLBA Imaging and Polarimetry Survey [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
We present multifrequency Very Long Baseline Array (VLBA) follow-up observations of VLBA Imaging and Polarimetry Survey sources identified as likely compact symmetric objects (CSOs) or supermassive binary black holes (SBBHs).

General Two-Stage Model-Based Three-Component Hybrid Compact Polarimetric SAR Decomposition Method

open access: yesIEEE Journal of Selected Topics in Applied Earth Observations and Remote Sensing, 2021
Polarimetric decomposition is an effective way for synthetic aperture radar (SAR) data interpretation. As for hybrid compact polarimetric (HCP) SAR, there are mainly two different types of decomposition methods, including wave-dichotomy-theorem-based and

Cyclic Olefin Copolymers as Versatile Materials for Advanced Engineering Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, Volume 36, Issue 47, 11 June 2026.
Cyclic olefin copolymers (COCs) are presented as highly versatile materials combining tunable synthesis, excellent optical properties, and mechanical robustness. Their potential spans microfluidics, bioengineering, and advanced electronics, while emerging self‐healing and sustainable solutions highlight future opportunities.

Synthesis of Levoglucosenone‐Based Amphiphilic Molecules via Microwave‐Assisted Michael Additions

open access: yesChemistry–Methods, Volume 6, Issue 6, June 2026.
Comparison between the conventional and the sustainable synthetic microwave‐based approach for Michael addition reactions on LGO developed in this work. Aligning with the objectives of the EU chemicals strategy for sustainability, an ultrarapid, safe and sustainable method for producing a library of levoglucosenone (LGO)‐based amphiphilic molecules was

Optical polarimetry studies of Seyfert galaxies [PDF]

open access: yes, 1999
Optical imaging polarimetry has been performed on seven nearby Seyfert galaxies, three with face-on and four with edge-on host galaxies of various morphological classifications.

Terahertz Metasurface for Spatial Detection of Full Stokes Parameters and Polarization Imaging

open access: yesNanophotonics, Volume 15, Issue 9, 13 May 2026.
This work presents a THz polarization analyzer with significantly improved robustness against nonuniformity. By integrating four polarization‐sensitive meta‐atoms into a meta‐cell, the metalens splits incident light into six polarization components and generates off‐axis focal spots.

Synthetic aperture radar compact polarimetry for sea ice surveillance [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
The focus of this thesis is to investigate the use of synthetic aperture radar (SAR) compact polarimetry for studies of sea ice. Data obtained from quad-polarimetric SAR systems have already been studied extensively for sea ice monitoring.
