Growth of Ferrite Needles in Compacted Graphite Cast Iron
AIP Conference Proceedings, 2005The austempering kinetics transformation of compacted graphite cast irons austempered at 623K is studied. The length (l) and the number per unit volume (N) of ferrite needles were followed by Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), while Mossbauer spectroscopy (MS) was used to determine the austenite relative areas.

General Characteristic of the Ductile and Compacted Graphite Cast Iron
2015This section provides basic information about the spheroidal graphite cast iron (SGI) and compacted graphite cast iron (CGI) which belong to the group of high-quality cast iron. The classification of SGI and CGI according to ISO standards, their characteristics and the use of modern types such as ADI or Si–Mo were provided.
