Factors modulating 99mTc‐MAA planar lung dosimetry for 90Y radioembolization
Abstract Purpose To investigate the accuracy and biases of predicted lung shunt fraction (LSF) and lung dose (LD) calculations via 99mTc‐macro‐aggregated albumin (99mTc‐MAA) planar imaging for treatment planning of 90Y‐microsphere radioembolization.

Some results about semilinear elliptic problems on half-spaces
We prove some new results about the growth, the monotonicity and the symmetry of (possibly) unbounded non-negative solutions of −∆u = f (u) on half-spaces, where f is merely a locally Lipschitz continuous function.

Abstract Positron emission tomography with x‐ray computed tomography (PET/CT) is increasingly being utilized for radiation treatment planning (RTP). Accurate delivery of RT therefore depends on quality PET/CT data. This study covers quality control (QC) procedures required for PET/CT for diagnostic imaging and incremental QC required for RTP.

Abstract Background and purpose For postoperative breast cancer patients, deformable image registration (DIR) is challenged due to the large deformations and non‐correspondence caused by tumor resection and clip insertion. To deal with it, three metrics (fiducial‐, region‐, and intensity‐based) were jointly used in DIR algorithm for improved accuracy ...

Clinical commissioning of an adaptive radiotherapy platform: Results and recommendations
Abstract Online adaptive radiotherapy platforms present a unique challenge for commissioning as guidance is lacking and specialized adaptive equipment, such as deformable phantoms, are rare. We designed a novel adaptive commissioning process consisting of end‐to‐end tests using standard clinical resources.

Digital radiography image quality evaluation using various phantoms and software
Abstract Purpose To investigate the effect of the exposure parameters on image quality (IQ) metrics of phantom images, obtained automatically using software or from visual evaluation. Methods Three commercial phantoms and a homemade phantom constructed according to the instructions given in the IAEA Human Health Series No.

Abstract The present study was conducted as part of a comprehensive work to establish National Diagnostic Reference Levels (NDRLs) in Sri Lanka for the first time. DRLs can be used as an effective optimization tool for identifying unusually high or low patient doses during X‐ray examinations.

Large solutions of a class of degenerate equations associated with infinity Laplacian
In this article, we investigate the boundary blow-up problem Δ∞hu=f(x,u),inΩ,u=∞,on∂Ω,\left\{\begin{array}{ll}{\Delta }_{\infty }^{h}u=f\left(x,u),& {\rm{in}}\hspace{0.33em}\Omega ,\\ u=\infty ,& {\rm{on}}\hspace{0.33em}\partial \Omega ,\end{array}\right.

We investigate the behaviour of weak solutions of boundary value problems for quasi-linear elliptic divergence second order equations in unbounded domains. We show the boundedness of weak solutions to our problem.

We obtain a new Liouville comparison principle for weak solutions (u,v) of semilinear parabolic second-order partial differential inequalities of the form ut-ℒu-|u|q-1u≥vt-ℒv-|v|q-1v(*)$u_t -{\mathcal {L}}u- |u|^{q-1}u\ge v_t -{\mathcal {L}}v- |v|^{q-1}v\
