Difference between Mitochondrial RNase P and Nuclear RNase P [Letters to the Editor] [PDF]

open access: yes, 2001
[Discussion of: Puranam, R. S., and G. Attardi. 2001. The RNase P associated with HeLa cell mitochondria contains an essential RNA component identical in sequence to that of the nuclear RNase P. Mol. Cell. Biol. 21:548-561.

The MacBrain Resource Center (MBRC) rhesus macaque embryonic brain histology datasets

open access: yesJournal of Anatomy, EarlyView.
We introduce the MacBrain Resource Center (MBRC) Collections of rhesus macaque embryonic brain tissue. Here, we illustrate histo‐ and immunohistology from our dynamically growing Collection 6, which currently contains >10,000 zoomable and downloadable images from n = 14 male and female embryos from early to late in gestation.

Simplified Method of Modelling Behaviour of Ship in Waves with Partially Flooded Compartments

open access: yesTransactions on Maritime Science, 2021
This paper contains a description of a numerical model for calculating behaviour of ships in waves. There are many models available, but the one described here can be characterised with a set of parameters that have a decisive impact on the final values of roll motion amplitude and frequency. In this paper, it is shown how a fitting of a standard-shape

A posttranslational proteomic survey of a single anatomically preserved human 20‐week postconception brain

open access: yesJournal of Anatomy, EarlyView.
A well‐preserved 20 post‐conception week human brain was obtained and finely dissected into 18 anatomically distinct regions, including the pia mater. Each region underwent in‐depth proteomic analysis, encompassing both total protein content and post‐translational modifications.

The Influence of the Flooding Damaged Compartment on the Metacentric Height Ship Type 888 [PDF]

open access: yesTransNav, 2010
Research on damage stability and unsinkability is a valuable source of knowledge of behaving a ship while flooding its compartments. In the paper, a short description of accidents and damages of Polish warships taking place in 1985-2004 is presented. The

A Gender Exposition: Black and White Images in the Grey Chain of Being [PDF]

open access: yes, 1990
It is interesting how the numerical demarcation of a decade spurs one to reflective stock-taking and visionary anticipation. We know that the beginning or termination of long-term social trends do not “naturally” fall into neat groups of tens.

Shaping the System Through Turbulence: Strategic Leadership and the Micro‐Foundations of Ecosystem Orchestration in Times of Disruption

open access: yesJournal of Management Studies, EarlyView.
Abstract While research on ecosystems and their orchestration has grown rapidly, we still know little about how individual strategic leaders may mobilize ecosystemic action in times of disruption. This article addresses this gap by drawing on an in‐depth case study of the Antwerp Square Mile, the world’s oldest and most renowned diamond trading ...

Hemidesmosomal Proteins in Oral Cancer Progression: An Immunohistochemical Study of Human and Mouse

open access: yesJournal of Oral Pathology &Medicine, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Hemidesmosomal subunits have gained attention for their potential role in the progression of oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC). However, formal analysis of quantitative expression patterns correlating with OSCC disease pathogenesis remains limited.

Ecological Modelling with the Calculus of Wrapped Compartments [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
The Calculus of Wrapped Compartments is a framework based on stochastic multiset rewriting in a compartmentalised setting originally developed for the modelling and analysis of biological interactions.
