Influence of matrix toughness and interfacial strength on the toughness of epoxy composites with ductile steel fabric reinforcement [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
In the last decades, several studies have been performed on polymers reinforced with steel cords or wires. However, the diameter of these steel reinforcements was still quite large (200 micron and more).

Compatibilization Mechanisms of Telechelic Polyethylene Reactive Additives in Polyethylene Terephthalate/Polyethylene Blends

open access: yesJournal of Polymer Science, Volume 64, Issue 9, Page 1948-1958, 1 May 2026.
A deeper understanding of reactive blend compatibilization using hydroxy telechelic polyethylene additives in blends of glycol‐modified polyethylene terephthalate and polyethylene is developed. Preformation of copolymer during reactive mixing is key for successful compatibilization of this system at lower mixing temperatures. ABSTRACT Imperfect sorting

Citric acid as multifunctional agent in blowing films of starch/PBAT

open access: yesQuímica Nova, 2011
Citric acid was used as a compatibilizer in the production of starch and PBAT films plasticized with glycerol and processed by blow extrusion. Films produced were characterized by WVP, mechanical properties, FT-IR-ATR and SEM.

Optimization in 3D Printable Silicone DIW Ink Formulations: Gelling Behavior Control and the Use of Carbon Nanotubes

open access: yesJournal of Applied Polymer Science, Volume 143, Issue 15, April 15, 2026.
DIW 3D printing of silicone materials can be optimized by controlling their gelling behavior or curing mechanism with carbon nanotubes. This precision control results in high‐performance elastomer materials and is a model study for characterization methods.

G_2 cosmological models separable in non-comoving coordinates [PDF]

open access: yes, 1998
We study new separable orthogonally transitive abelian G_2 on S_2 models with two mutually orthogonal integrable Killing vector fields. For this purpose we consider separability of the metric functions in a coordinate system in which the velocity vector ...

Impact of Seasonal Composition on the Long‐Term Performance of Post‐Consumer Recycled Polypropylene

open access: yesJournal of Applied Polymer Science, Volume 143, Issue 15, April 15, 2026.
Ten batches of post‐consumer polypropylene recyclate were examined over a period of 15 months. Despite identical MFR and density specifications, there were significant differences in their composition, affecting mechanical performance. Elongation at break and crack resistance varied particularly strongly.

Polyethylene‐Polyamide‐6 Diblock Copolymers for Fused Filament Fabrication

open access: yesJournal of Polymer Science, Volume 64, Issue 8, Page 1744-1759, 15 April 2026.
Linear HDPE‐PA6 block copolymers were prepared by polymerization of ethylene to a macroinitiator and subsequent anionic caprolactam polymerization. The copolymer with a HDPE mass of 6500 Da and PA6 mass of 20.000 Da was used as a filament in 3D printing.

Dynamic analysis of the vehicle-structure interaction: a direct and efficient computer implementation [PDF]

open access: yes
The simulation of the dynamic behavior of a structure subjected to sets of moving loads originated by vehicles whose structural behavior is also considered corresponds to a task not efficiently addressed by standard finite element packages.
