Effects and Mechanisms of Different RPE/RPP Ratios on the Properties of Modified Asphalt. ABSTRACT Recycled polyethylene (RPE) and recycled polypropylene (RPP) are the most abundant types of plastic waste. Developing novel base asphalt modifiers (additives used to enhance the properties of asphalt) by blending RPE and RPP in different ratios is of ...

Polypropylene nanocomposites with untreated and pretreated graphite nanoplatelets (GnP) exhibited distinct reinforcement mechanisms. Untreated GnP enhanced stiffness and thermal stability through stacked structures, while pretreated GnP improved impact strength and flexibility at low temperatures via exfoliated morphologies.
