Competition Analysis on Industry Populations Based on a Three-Dimensional Lotka–Volterra Model
The classical Lotka–Volterra model is mainly a two-dimensional configuration. The two-dimensional form limits the application scenarios of the Lotka–Volterra model.

On the Existence of Competitive Equilibrium with Chores.
We study the chore division problem in the classic Arrow-Debreu exchange setting, where a set of agents want to divide their divisible chores (bads) to minimize their disutilities (costs). We assume that agents have linear disutility functions. Like the setting with goods, a division based on competitive equilibrium is regarded as one of the best ...

This study reveals a unique active site enriched in methionine residues and demonstrates that these residues play a critical role by stabilizing carbocation intermediates through novel sulfur–cation interactions. Structure‐guided mutagenesis further revealed variants with significantly altered product profiles, enhancing pseudopterosin formation. These

Optimal Choice of Enterprise’s Production Strategy under Constraints of Carbon Quota
After analyzing the enterprise’s production strategy under the constraints of carbon quota, this paper proposes new mathematical models aiming for the optimal choice of enterprise’s production strategy under the monopoly and competitive environments ...

Mathematical Model of Iteroparous and Semelparous Species Interaction
A species can be categorized based on its reproductive strategy, including semelparous and iteroparous. Semelparous species is a species that reproduces only once in its lifetime shortly before dying, while iteroparous species is a species that ...

Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.

Monotonicity and Competitive Equilibrium in Cake-cutting
We study the monotonicity properties of solutions in the classic problem of fair cake-cutting --- dividing a heterogeneous resource among agents with different preferences.

Equilibrium in Hotelling's Model of Spatial Competition [PDF]
In Hotelling's two-stage model of spatial competition, two firms simultaneously choose locations in the unit interval, then simultaneously choose prices. Under Hotelling's assumptions (uniform distribution of consumers, travel cost proportional to distance, inelastic demand of one unit by each consumer), it is known that the price-setting subgames ...

AAA+ protein unfoldases—the Moirai of the proteome
AAA+ unfoldases are essential molecular motors that power protein degradation and disaggregation. This review integrates recent cryo‐electron microscopy (cryo‐EM) structures and single‐molecule biophysical data to reconcile competing models of substrate translocation.
