Formulating and Solving Exhaustible Resource Models as Mixed Complementarity Problems in GAMS [PDF]

open access: yes
In this paper a formulation of dynamic non-linear programs as mixed complementarity problems (mcp) is shown. Models of exhaustible resource markets are used to describe the transformation.

Complementarity and Scientific Rationality [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
Bohr's interpretation of quantum mechanics has been criticized as incoherent and opportunistic, and based on doubtful philosophical premises. If so Bohr's influence, in the pre-war period of 1927-1939, is the harder to explain, and the acceptance of his ...

Deciphering transcriptional plasticity in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma reveals alterations in sensory neuron innervation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pancreatic sensory neurons innervating healthy and PDAC tissue were retrogradely labeled and profiled by single‐cell RNA sequencing. Tumor‐associated innervation showed a dominant neurofilament‐positive subtype, altered mitochondrial gene signatures, and reduced non‐peptidergic neurons.

Geographical competition-complementarity relationships between Greek regional economies [PDF]

open access: yes
This paper examines the nature of interregional competition and complementarity in Greece. Covering the 1975-2002 period, the analysis provides a picture of the interregional interactions by focusing on derived linkages between the regional economies ...

Transcriptional profiling of circulating extracellular vesicles from prebiopsy prostate cancer patients

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
RNA profiling of circulating extracellular vesicles (EVs) from blood samples of men undergoing prostate biopsy identifies transcripts associated with clinically significant prostate cancer. Integrative analysis with public tumor datasets links EV‐derived gene signatures to tumor stage and progression‐free survival, highlighting CASP3, XRCC2, and RIT1 ...

Collective Review: Integration of Research Methods—The Example of Life-Course and Biographical Research

open access: yesForum: Qualitative Social Research, 2002
The Special Research Centre 186 ("Sonderforschungsbereich") on "Status-Passages and Life-Course" at Bremen was initiated in 1988. Last year, members of the centre published four volumes summarising some of their main results.

Longitudinal circulating tumor DNA profiling in patients with advanced endometrial cancer using an off‐the‐shelf targeted NGS panel

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Intratumour heterogeneity complicates precision management of advanced endometrial cancer. Circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) offers a minimally invasive strategy to capture tumor evolution and therapeutic resistance. Here, we compare tumor‐agnostic NGS with tumor‐informed ddPCR, outlining their relative sensitivity, concordance, and clinical implications ...

On the strategic non-complementarity of complements [PDF]

open access: yes
This paper examines the equilibrium provision of a public good if the private monetary contributions of identical agents are (im)pure complements. To reconcile complementarity in contributions with the apparent substitutability of monetary payments, we ...
