Microwave multiplexers using complementary triplexer filters
1999 SBMO/IEEE MTT-S International Microwave and Optoelectronics Conference, 2003This paper describes the design procedure of a multiplexer using the complementary triplexer filter. The described technique allows one to accomplish matched structures with a large range of frequencies. The required network conditions that can be realizable with complementary filters are shown.

A family of phase complementary filters
ICASSP '79. IEEE International Conference on Acoustics, Speech, and Signal Processing, 2005Phase Complementary filters are of use in situations where it is necessary to measure energy content of a signal, at a particular frequency. This paper describes a family of such filter functions, based on time windows of the general form tke-at, k, integer.

Digital filters with complementary characteristics find many applications in practice. In this chapter, we concentrate on the properties and construction of complementary filters and filter pairs. An important application of complementary property is deriving a new transfer function from the existing one.

Correlation Filter Tracking with Complementary Features
2018Although Correlation Filters (CF) tracking algorithms have inherent capability to tackle various challenging scenarios individually, none of them are robust enough to handle all the challenges simultaneously. For any online tracking based on Correlation Filters, feature is one of the most important factors due to its representation power of target ...

Optical antialiasing filters based on complementary Golay codes
Applied Optics, 1997An optical filter that has an ideal response for removing aliasing noise from a sampled imaging system is described. The all-phase filter uses complementary Golay codes to achieve an optimum low-pass transfer function with no sidelobes. A computer model shows that the optical system has the expected performance in the ideal case, but degrades somewhat ...

Fractional-Order Complementary Filters for Sensor Applications
2020 IEEE International Symposium on Circuits and Systems (ISCAS), 2020Fractional-order complementary filter topologies, which could be employed in various sensor applications, are presented in this paper. The core of the implementation is a fractional-order low-pass filter, while its complementary counterpart is derived through the substitution of the output of the low-pass filter with the input signal.

Complementary pole-pair filters-A new family of transitional filters
1993 IEEE International Symposium on Circuits and Systems, 2002A new family of transitional filters is proposed. The poles of the transfer function are located on a circle corresponding to the pole-frequency and are judiciously perturbed from those obtained for Butterworth filters. It is shown that an infinite number of such filters can exist. Some typical responses are given. >

Kalman Filter and Complementary Filter in Attitude Estimation of APM
Applied Mechanics and Materials, 2014This paper presents the results of a quaternion based extend Kalman filter (EKF) and complementary filter for ArduPilotMega (APM) attitude estimation. In addition, a new method to get the measurement noise covariance matrix R is proposed. Experimental results show that the two algorithms can meet the requirements, but the complementary filter can yield

External acceleration elimination for complementary attitude filter
2017 IEEE International Conference on Information and Automation (ICIA), 2017Generalized complementary filter (GCF) is an attractive solution for data fusion in attitude and heading reference system (AHRS) and inertial measurement unit (IMU), mainly because its computational efficiency. However, since the accelerometer in AHRS and IMU is sensitive to both the gravity and external acceleration, the performance of GCF will be ...

Complementary Filter to Estimate Inertial Velocity
Journal of Dynamic Systems, Measurement, and Control, 2009Long appreciated advantageous stability and performance properties of “skyhook damping” are dependent on availability of an inertially referenced velocity signal. In this work a practical complementary filter using acceleration and position measurements is proposed to construct a high quality inertial velocity signal. The filter was used in a hydraulic
