On the development of the verb infinitive phrase in Yoruba
This paper will concentrate on a type of verb complement structure referred to as the HTS construction in Yoruba, essentially to show four points: a. that it is an older form of the verb-infinitive phrase in Yoruba, out of which the infinitival gerunds ...

Des surbordonnées en if compléments non interrogatifs ?
Clauses introduced by if are traditionally assigned two functions: they are analyzed either as conditional adjuncts or as (indirect) interrogative complements. Yet in some structures the status of the if clause is not clear-cut, since the clause seems to

A Genomic Safe Haven for Mutant Complementation in Cryptococcus neoformans
Just as Koch’s postulates formed the foundation of early infectious disease study, Stanley Falkow’s molecular Koch’s postulates define best practice in determining whether a specific gene contributes to virulence of a pathogen.

Symmetries and hidden symmetries of $(ε, d_L)$-twisted knot complements [PDF]
In this paper we analyze symmetries, hidden symmetries, and commensurability classes of $(\epsilon, d_L)$-twisted knot complements, which are the complements of knots that have a sufficiently large number of twists in each of their twist regions. These knot complements can be constructed via long Dehn fillings on fully augmented links complements.

Interallelic complementation provides functional evidence for cohesin–cohesin interactions on DNA
A single cohesin is believed to be sufficient to tether sister chromatids. Three examples of interallelic complementation are identified and characterized in which two different mutant cohesin complexes interact to promote cohesin functions.

SUBSTITUTING COMPLEMENTS [PDF]
The presence of multiple sellers in the provision of (nonsubstitutable) complementary goods leads to outcomes that are worse than those generated by a monopoly (with a vertically integrated production of complements), a problem known in the economic literature as complementary oligopoly and recently popularized in the legal literature as the tragedy of

On the descriptional complexity of operations on semilinear sets [PDF]
We investigate the descriptional complexity of operations on semilinear sets. Roughly speaking, a semilinear set is the finite union of linear sets, which are built by con- stant and period vectors. The interesting parameters of a semilinear set are: (i)
