On permutably complemented subalgebras of finite dimensional Lie algebras [PDF]
Summary: Let \(L\) be a finite-dimensional Lie algebra. We say a subalgebra \(H\) of \(L\) is permutably complemented in \(L\) if there is a subalgebra \(K\) of \(L\) such that \(L=H+K\) and \(H\cap K=0\). Also, if every subalgebra of \(L\) is permutably complemented in \(L\), then \(L\) is called completely factorisable.

Complementing permutations in finite lattices
AbstractIn a finite lattice L for which the Möbius function is nonvanishing on all upper and lower intervals, we establish the existence of a permutation of L taking each lattice element to one of its complements.

Optimized Entanglement Purification [PDF]
We investigate novel protocols for entanglement purification of qubit Bell pairs. Employing genetic algorithms for the design of the purification circuit, we obtain shorter circuits achieving higher success rates and better final fidelities than what is ...

Single query learning from abelian and non-abelian Hamming distance oracles [PDF]
We study the problem of identifying an n-bit string using a single quantum query to an oracle that computes the Hamming distance between the query and hidden strings. The standard action of the oracle on a response register of dimension r is by powers of

Communication Complexity of Permutation-Invariant Functions
Motivated by the quest for a broader understanding of communication complexity of simple functions, we introduce the class of "permutation-invariant" functions.

Organoids in pediatric cancer research
Organoid technology has revolutionized cancer research, yet its application in pediatric oncology remains limited. Recent advances have enabled the development of pediatric tumor organoids, offering new insights into disease biology, treatment response, and interactions with the tumor microenvironment.

Protein pyrophosphorylation by inositol pyrophosphates — detection, function, and regulation
Protein pyrophosphorylation is an unusual signaling mechanism that was discovered two decades ago. It can be driven by inositol pyrophosphate messengers and influences various cellular processes. Herein, we summarize the research progress and challenges of this field, covering pathways found to be regulated by this posttranslational modification as ...
