Engineering MnNiPx Cathode via Dual Role of Mn: Simultaneous Enhancement of Activity and Intermittent Operation Durability

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Engineering MnNiPx cathodes through the dual role of Mn simultaneously improves hydrogen evolution reaction activity and intermittent‐operation durability. Mn preferentially oxidizes to protect Ni–P sites from irreversible oxidation, while metallic Mn incorporation enhances the HER kinetics of Ni–P active layer.

Low‐Fraction Irregular Inclusions Trigger Large Compression Stiffening in Biopolymer Hydrogels

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Irregular inclusions at low filler fractions trigger large compression stiffening in biopolymer hydrogels. By promoting contact‐network formation under compression, these inclusions induce non‐affine rearrangements, stretch surrounding fibers, and provide parallel load‐bearing pathways.

PRODUCING SET-THEORETIC COMPLETE INTERSECTION MONOMIAL CURVES IN P-n

open access: yes, 2009
In this paper we describe an algorithm for producing infinitely many examples of set-theoretic complete intersection monomial curves in Pn+1, starting with a single set-theoretic complete intersection monomial curve in P-n.

The $4n^2$-inequality for complete intersection singularities

open access: yes, 2016
The famous $4n^2$-inequality is extended to generic complete intersection singularities: it is shown that the multiplicity of the self-intersection of a mobile linear system with a maximal singularity is higher than $4n^2\mu$, where $\mu$ is the ...

Fat points on a grid in P^2

open access: yesLe Matematiche, 2000
We study homogeneous schemes of fat points in P^2  whose support is either a complete intersection (CI for short) constructed on an a × b grid or a CI minus a point,

Co‐Electrospinning Extracellular Matrix with Polycaprolactone Enables a Modular Approach to Balance Bioactivity and Mechanics of a Multifunctional Bone Wrap

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
The incorporation of nondigested ECM and synthetic polymers into a co‐electrospinning system enables the decoupling of bioactivity and mechanical properties within a single wrap. This technique is used to develop a multifunctional bone wrap that achieves augmented membrane durability, sustained infection control, and enhanced vascularity for use in ...

Flash Assembloids: A Rapid Biofabrication of a Platform for Modeling Early Glioblastoma Invasion at the Glioblastoma–Brain Organoid Interfaces

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
This study presents a bioengineered assembloid (ASM) system combining glioblastoma (GBM) cells in oxidized alginate (OA) microgels with dorsal organoids (DOs). This model simulates brain tumor‐host interactions, revealing enhanced GBM invasion, altered gene expression, and aggressive infiltration patterns, demonstrating ASM as a valuable platform for ...

INtersection Optimization is NP-Complete

open access: yes, 2007
Finite state methods for natural language processing often require the con- struction and the intersection of several automata. In this paper we investigate the question of determining the best order in which these intersections should be performed. We take as an example lexical disambiguation in polarity gram- mars.

Intersection of Complete Cotorsion Pairs

open access: yesBulletin of the Iranian Mathematical Society
Given two (hereditary) complete cotorsion pairs $(\mathcal{X}_1,\mathcal{Y}_1)$ and $(\mathcal{X}_2,\mathcal{Y}_2)$ in an exact category with $\mathcal{X}_1\subseteq \mathcal{Y}_2$, we prove that $\left({\rm Smd}\langle \mathcal{X}_1,\mathcal{X}_2 \rangle,\mathcal{Y}_1\cap \mathcal{Y}_2\right)$ is also a (hereditary) complete cotorsion pair, where ...
