Genomes, expression profiles, and diversity of mitochondria of the White-footed Deermouse Peromyscus leucopus, reservoir of Lyme disease and other zoonoses. [PDF]
The cricetine rodents Peromyscus leucopus and P. maniculatus are key reservoirs for several zoonotic diseases in North America. We determined the complete circular mitochondrial genome sequences of representatives of 3 different stock colonies of P ...

Sabotaged Integral HSC Heterogeneity Underlies Essential Thrombocythemia Development
Single‐cell RNA sequencing (scRNA‐seq) maps how distinct driver mutations remodel hematopoietic stem cell (HSC) programs across essential thrombocythemia (ET). Comparative analysis uncovers both shared and subtype‐specific molecular signatures, identifies a triple‐negative (TN)‐associated HSC population enriched with malignant traits, and reveals the ...

This work demonstrates that endothelial EphA4 limits Tie2 activation and curbs leptomeningeal collateral expansion after ischemic stroke. Pharmacological activation of Tie2 by an Ang‐1 mimetic or genetic loss of EphA4 stimulates collateral vessel growth, improves cerebral perfusion, and enhances neurological recovery.

In temporal lobe epilepsy, hippocampal APOE is markedly upregulated predominantly in microglia. APOE overexpression in microglia drives TLR4 and cGAS/STING‐dependent neuroinflammation, engages bidirectional crosstalk with neurons and astrocytes, increases neuronal excitability, and perturbs hippocampal lipid metabolism. These findings suggest that APOE‐
