Complete mitochondrial genome of Evacanthus heimianus (Hemiptera: Cicadellidae: Evacanthinae) from China

open access: yesMitochondrial DNA Part B: Resources, 2019
We have sequenced the complete mitochondrial genome (mitogenome) of the leafhopper Evacanthus heimianus in Evacanthinae, the mitogenome is 15,806 bp, has an A + T content of 79.89% (A 40.7%; T 39.2% C 10.7%; G 9.4%), which is the classical structure for ...

Bridging the gap: Multi‐stakeholder perspectives of molecular diagnostics in oncology

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Although molecular diagnostics is transforming cancer care, implementing novel technologies remains challenging. This study identifies unmet needs and technology requirements through a two‐step stakeholder involvement. Liquid biopsies for monitoring applications and predictive biomarker testing emerge as key unmet needs. Technology requirements vary by

Single cell analysis reveals the involvement of the long non-coding RNA Pvt1 in the modulation of muscle atrophy and mitochondrial network [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
Long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) are emerging as important players in the regulation of several aspects of cellular biology. For a better comprehension of their function, it is fundamental to determine their tissue or cell specificity and to identify their

The complete mitochondrial genome of Korean Marchantia polymorpha subsp. ruderalis Bischl. & Boisselier: inverted repeats on mitochondrial genome between Korean and Japanese isolates

open access: yesMitochondrial DNA Part B: Resources, 2019
Based on previous studies of Marchantia polymorpha subsp. ruderalis chloroplast genomes, few sequence variations were identified. Here, we sequenced complete mitochondrial genome of Korean isolate, named as KDBI00084, for uncovering sequence variations ...

The complete mitochondrial genome of Stolephorus commersonii [PDF]

open access: yesMitochondrial DNA Part B, 2017
In this study, the complete mitochondrial genome of Stolephorus commersonii is determined. It is 16,734 bp in length and consists of 13 protein-coding genes, 22 transfer RNA (tRNA) genes, two ribosomal RNA (rRNA) genes, and a control region. Phylogenetic tree was constructed based on the complete mitogenome of S.

Inhibition of CDK9 enhances AML cell death induced by combined venetoclax and azacitidine

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The CDK9 inhibitor AZD4573 downregulates c‐MYC and MCL‐1 to induce death of cytarabine (AraC)‐resistant AML cells. This enhances VEN + AZA‐induced cell death significantly more than any combination of two of the three drugs in AraC‐resistant AML cells.

A fragmented metazoan organellar genome [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
Background: Animal mitochondrial (mt) genomes are characteristically circular molecules of ~16–20 kb. Medusozoa (Cnidaria excluding Anthozoa) are exceptional in that their mt genomes are linear and sometimes subdivided into two to presumably four ...

The complete mitochondrial genome of tulip tree, Liriodendron tulipifera L. (Magnoliaceae): intra-species variations on mitochondrial genome

open access: yesMitochondrial DNA Part B: Resources, 2019
Liriodendron tulipifera L. is easily recognized by its heart-shaped of leaves and can grow up to 60 meters in North America. In this study, we presented second complete mitochondrial genome of L. tulipifera to understand intra-species variations.
