Vertical Permeability Measurements Swan Hills Reef Complex

Proceedings of Fall Meeting of the Society of Petroleum Engineers of AIME, 1972
Abstract To obtain accurate data for use in calculating vertical fluid flow within a reservoir, in situ measurements of vertical permeability were conducted on five wells in the South Swan Hills Unit. These measurements quantified the permeability parameters for subsequent model studies of the Light Brown member of ...

Measurement of complex permeability by discriminator

Journal of the British Institution of Radio Engineers, 1960
A modified Foster-Seeley discriminator can be used to measure the real and imaginary parts of v.h.f. permeability in a ferromagnetic sample. The circuit is described and the theory and design criteria given. The results of measurements on colloidal nickel in liquid suspension are quoted.

Complex Magnetic Permeability of Spherical Particles

Proceedings of the IRE, 1953
The effective complex magnetic permeability of an array of spherical conducting permeable particles is computed. Curves are presented which illustrate the dependence of the conductivity, permeability and radius of the particle and the frequency.

Measurement of Complex Permittivity and Permeability

1970
Abstract : The program was conducted to derive a better technique for the measurement of the permeability and permittivity of lossy ferrites at microwave frequencies at temperatures up to 1000F. Although the classical method of waveguide measurement techniques was used, a careful analysis of the sources of errors was undertaken and a computer aided ...

Polyelectrolyte complex membranes – surface and permeability properties

Macromolecular Symposia, 2002
In order to study, how the membrane hydrophilicity influences the pervaporation (PV) separation properties in dehydration of alcohols, two polyelectrolyte complex (PELC) membranes, based on interfacial reaction of polyanionic sodium salt of sulfoethyl cellulose (SEC) with polycationic poly[dimethyl(diallyl)ammonium chloride] (pDMDAAC), or cationic ...

Domain structure investigation by complex permeability measurements

Journal of Magnetism and Magnetic Materials, 1984
Abstract The average domain size, the average grain size, the initial permeability and coercive force were measured on industrial purity permalloy and perminvar materials as a function of annealing temperature. The domain structure was found to be controlled mainly by the grain structure and the thickness of the samples.

Dentin-Predentin Complex and Its Permeability: Physiologic Overviwe

Journal of Dental Research, 1985
The major channels for solute diffusion across dentin are the dentinal tubules. Since dentin permeation is proportional to the product of tubule number and diameter, both of which increase as the tubules converge on the pulp, we find that dentin permeability increases rapidly as the pulp chamber is approached.

An Equivalent Complex Permeability Model for Litz-Wire Windings

IEEE Transactions on Industry Applications, 2005
Previous methods for calculating power loss in litz-wire windings usually assume very fine strands such that the diameter of strands is much smaller than skin depth. In this paper, we present a method for calculating proximity-effect loss in litz-wire windings.

Investigation and gas permeability of polyurethane complexes

Journal of Applied Polymer Science, 1998
Ionic polyurethane (PU) membranes of hydroxyl-terminated polybutadiene (HTPB) and 4,4′-dicyclohexylmethane diisocyanate (H12MDI) were polymerized by a two-stage method. The ionic group was introduced by adding N-methyldiethanolamine (MDEA) as the chain extender of which the tertiary amines were complexed with cobalt ions.

Structural requirement for duodenal permeability of heparin-diamine complexes

Biochimica et Biophysica Acta (BBA) - General Subjects, 1992
We have compared the physico-chemical behaviors alone and in the presence of a synthetic bilayer membrane, in aqueous solution and the bioavailability after intraduodenal administration to rabbits, of the two heparin diamine salts ITF-300 and ITF-331 with those of the heparin-amine salt ITF-1175.
