Complex permittivity, complex permeability and microwave absorption properties of human blood [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Physics: Conference Series, 2019
Abstract This paper reports a method for measuring for the complex permittivity, permeability and microwave absorption properties of human blood of healthy human body. The proposed measurement method can be a useful technique for microwave absorption properties of human blood. The measurement using a waveguide in the microwave band.

Intercompartmental communication in senescence

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Senescent cells experience structural changes in the plasma membrane, endoplasmic reticulum, mitochondria, lysosomes, nucleus, and cytoskeleton. These alterations disrupt crosstalk among cellular compartments, impairing vesicular trafficking, contact sites, and molecular flow.

Study of structural, dielectric, and magnetic properties of nickel doped strontium hexaferrite nanoparticles for microwave absorption application

open access: yesMaterials Research Express
This study presents the fabrication of nickel-doped strontium hexaferrite nanoparticles via the sol–gel auto-combustion technique to evaluate their potential as efficient microwave absorbing materials. A compositional series of Sr _1−x Ni _x Fe _12 O _19

Basis for the model of parameter permeability prediction of productive strata in oil and gas deposits development [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
Basis for prediction of strata permeability of oil and gas deposits has been presented. The prediction model from the viewpoint of continuum mechanics (the theory of viscosity-elastic body creeping) is justified in terms of estimating deformation ...

Adjustment of Coatings Morphology and Particle Distribution of Layered Silicates by Freeze‐Drying for Improved Gas Barriers

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Freeze‐drying of layered silicate is the key to get coatings with superior gas barrier. Freeze‐drying of layered silicates modified with dodecylamine (DDA) is a highly effective technique for the preparation of barrier pigments that significantly mitigate the permeation of oxygen, water vapor, and hydrogen through polymer films containing these ...

Interaction between Molten Al‐Killed Mn–B Steel and Carbon‐Bonded MgO Refractories Based on Recyclates

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
High‐temperature interactions between low‐sulfur Al‐killed Mn–B steel and MgO–C refractories (0 and 50 wt% recyclates) are studied via finger immersion tests (1600 °C). Surface‐active elements influence infiltration. MgO/CaS layer forms, along with spinel and calcium silicate.

A new permeability calculation method using nuclear magnetic resonance logging based on pore sizes: A case study of bioclastic limestone reservoirs in the A oilfield of the Mid-East

open access: yesPetroleum Exploration and Development, 2018
It is difficult to accurately obtain the permeability of complex lithologic reservoirs using conventional methods because they have diverse pore structures and complex seepage mechanisms.

Handbook of Establishing and Maintaining Oxygen‐Free Atmospheres

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This study presents a practical framework for creating oxygen‐free atmospheres at ambient pressure using silane‐doped inert gases. The results show that ultra‐low oxygen levels and strongly reduced water content can be achieved through controlled silane dosing, drying systems, and sensor monitoring.

Electrical Conductivities of Conductors, Semiconductors, and Their Mixtures at Elevated Temperatures

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This article presents a comprehensive review of temperature‐dependent electrical conductivity data for multiple material classes at elevated temperatures, highlighting a persistent conductivity gap between metals and semiconductors in the range of 102$\left(10\right)^{2}$– 107$\left(10\right)^{7}$ S/m. Metal–ceramic irregular metamaterials are proposed
