Higher analogs of simplicial and combinatorial complexity [PDF]
arXiv, 2019 We introduce higher simplicial complexity of a simplicial complex $K$ and higher combinatorial complexity of a finite space $P$ (i.e. $P$ is a finite poset). We relate higher simplicial complexity with higher topological complexity of $|K|$ and higher combinatorial complexity with higher simplicial complexity of the order complex of $P$.

miRNA‐29 regulates epidermal and mesenchymal functions in skin repair
FEBS Letters, EarlyView.miRNA‐29 inhibits cell‐to‐cell and cell‐to‐matrix adhesion by silencing mRNA targets. Adhesion is controlled by complex interactions between many types of molecules coded by mRNAs. This is crucial for keeping together the layers of the skin and for regenerating the skin after wounding.

arXiv, 2013 We introduce decomposition complexes of posets, which generalize order complexes. The main advantage of our construction is that decomposition complexes are closed under taking products. Other special instances of this theory include nested set complexes as well as Bergman complexes.

Complex Intersection Bodies [PDF]
, 2012 We introduce complex intersection bodies and show that their properties and applications are similar to those of their real counterparts. In particular, we generalize Busemann's theorem to the complex case by proving that complex intersection bodies of symmetric complex convex bodies are also convex.

FEBS Letters, EarlyView.We present the cellular transcription‐coupled Flp‐nick system allowing the introduction of a Top1‐mimicking cleavage complex (Flpcc) at a Flp recognition target site within a controllable LacZ gene. LacZ transcription leads to the collision of RNA polymerase II (RNAPII) with Flpcc, and this causes RNAPII stalling, ubiquitination, and degradation.
