Nonhumidified fuel cell using N-ethyl-N-methylpyrrolidinium fluorohydrogenate ionic liquid–polymer composite membranes

Journal of Power Sources, 2012
Abstract Composite membranes consisting of EMPyr(FH) 1.7 F (EMPyr =  N -ethyl- N -methylpyrrolidinium) ionic liquid and hydroxyethylmethacrylate (HEMA) polymer (EMPyr(FH) 1.7 F/HEMA monomer = 7:3, 8:2, and 9:1 in molar ratios) were prepared as electrolytes for a nonhumidified fuel cell.

Evolution of temperature of a droplet of liquid composite fuel interacting with heated airflow

Thermophysics and Aeromechanics, 2016
The macroscopic patterns of a temperature change at the center of a droplet of three-component (coal, water, petroleum) composite liquid fuel (CLF) were studied using a low-inertia thermoelectric converter and system of high-speed (up to 105 frames per second) video recording during the induction period at different heating intensity by the air flow ...

Performance of Solid Oxide Fuel Cells Based on Liquid Hydrocarbon Fuel Reforming Gas: Effect of Cell Structure and Gas Composition

ACS Applied Materials & Interfaces
This work comprehensively analyzed how the thickness of the anode and the fuel gas compositions can alter the durability and electrochemical performance of solid oxide fuel cells (SOFCs) when they are operated on steam-reformed gas of hydrocarbons.

Recycling by pyrolysis of thermoset composites: characteristics of the liquid and gaseous fuels obtained

Fuel, 2000
Abstract A sheet moulding compound (SMC) of fibre-glass and ortho-phthalic polyester has been pyrolysed in a laboratory installation at 300, 400, 500, 600 and 700°C for 30 min. Solid residues of 72–82 wt%, gas yields of 6–12 wt% and liquid yields of 9–13 wt% were obtained.
