Nature-identical compounds as feed additives in aquaculture
Aquaculture sustainable development is necessary since it is categorized as the most important source of aquatic products for human consumption and it is expected to keep growing shortly. For this reason, the addition of natural immunostimulants to fish diet to improve fish health and to preserve the environment have great importance in aquaculture. In

Compounds in Milk Accompanying Feeding of Ethoxyquin
Abstract A feeding trial was conducted to determine if ethoxyquin, or its residues, is transferred from feed to milk when added to feed at 0.015% of the dry matter intake. A very low concentration (less than 7 µg/ liter) of ethoxyquin was detected in milk by a fluorimetric procedure and by thin layer chromatography.

Tolerance and safety evaluation of N, N-dimethylglycine, a naturally occurring organic compound, as a feed additive in broiler diets [PDF]
N, N-dimethylglycine (DMG) is a tertiary amino acid that naturally occurs as an intermediate metabolite in choline-to-glycine metabolism. The objective of the present trial was to evaluate tolerance, safety and bioaccumulation of dietary DMG in broilers ...

Gut microbiome and aging—A dynamic interplay of microbes, metabolites, and the immune system
Age‐dependent shifts in microbial communities engender shifts in microbial metabolite profiles. These in turn drive shifts in barrier surface permeability of the gut and brain and induce immune activation. When paired with preexisting age‐related chronic inflammation this increases the risk of neuroinflammation and neurodegenerative diseases.
