Keratin 19 as a prognostic marker and contributing factor of metastasis and chemoresistance in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Keratin 19 (KRT19) is overexpressed in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer with high levels of Kallikrein‐related peptidases (KLK) 4–7 and is associated with poor survival. In vivo analyses demonstrate that elevated KRT19 increases peritoneal tumour burden.

Attacking the Knudsen-Preneel Compression Functions [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
Knudsen and Preneel (Asiacrypt'96 and Crypto'97) introduced a hash function design in which a linear error-correcting code is used to build a wide-pipe compression function from underlying blockciphers operating in Davies-Meyer mode. In this paper, we (re)analyse the preimage resistance of the Knudsen-Preneel compression functions in the setting of ...

Functional Compression Through Graph Coloring [PDF]

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Information Theory, 2010
Motivated by applications to sensor networks and privacy preserving databases, we consider the problem of functional compression. The objective is to separately compress possibly correlated discrete sources such that an arbitrary but fixed deterministic function of those sources can be computed given the compressed data from each source.

Longitudinal circulating tumor DNA profiling in patients with advanced endometrial cancer using an off‐the‐shelf targeted NGS panel

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Intratumour heterogeneity complicates precision management of advanced endometrial cancer. Circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) offers a minimally invasive strategy to capture tumor evolution and therapeutic resistance. Here, we compare tumor‐agnostic NGS with tumor‐informed ddPCR, outlining their relative sensitivity, concordance, and clinical implications ...

ESR1 methylation and ESR1 mutations in circulating tumor cells (CTCs) and paired plasma‐cfDNA of advanced breast cancer patients: A feasibility proof‐of‐concept study

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Circulating tumor cells (CTCs) and plasma cell‐free DNA (cfDNA) were analyzed to detect ESR1 mutations and methylation in patients with advanced breast cancer. CTC‐derived DNA showed higher sensitivity for mutation detection and revealed complementary genetic and epigenetic alterations, highlighting the added value of CTC analysis for understanding ...

Tangent curve utilization for description of mechanical behaviour of pressed mixture

open access: yesResearch in Agricultural Engineering, 2011
This article is focused on the utilization of tangent curve for description of mechanical behaviour of pressed mixture under compression loading. The aim of this experiment was to determine the general equation describing deformation characteristics of ...

Lossless Compression Algorithm Based on Hybrid Coding of Adaptive Huffman and Golomb-Rice for WSN [PDF]

open access: yesJisuanji gongcheng, 2016
Aiming at the problem that traditional Wireless Sensor Network(WSN) data compression algorithms cannot take both compression efficiency and data loss into account,a fast and efficient Lossless Adaptive Compression(LAC) algorithm based on adaptive Huffman

Compression-aware pseudo-functional testing [PDF]

open access: yes2009 International Test Conference, 2009
With technology scaling, the discrepancy between integrated circuits' activities in normal functional mode and that in structural test mode has an increasing adverse impact on the effectiveness of manufacturing test. By identifying functionally unreachable states in the circuit and avoiding them during the test generation process, pseudo-functional ...

Rebound Attack on the Full LANE Compression Function [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
In this work, we apply the rebound attack to the AES based SHA-3 candidate Lane. The hash function Lane uses a permutation based compression function, consisting of a linear message expansion and 6 parallel lanes.

Epigenetic heterogeneity and plasticity in therapy‐induced tumor states through single‐cell multi‐omics

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Single‐cell multi‐omics reveals epigenetic heterogeneity across therapy‐adaptive tumor states, including quiescent/dormant, drug‐tolerant persister, and EMT‐like phenotypes. By linking regulatory features with state‐associated biomarkers, these approaches inform biomarker‐guided therapeutic strategies for evolving tumors.
