Abstract figure legend The influence of haemoglobin–O2 affinity on aerobic capacity in hypoxia has been contentious. Many high‐altitude natives have greater haemoglobin–O2 affinity (lower P50, the O2 pressure at 50% haemoglobin saturation) than their low‐altitude counterparts, but the advantages of this change for aerobic metabolism have often remained

Abstract One way of addressing anxiety in students studying statistics as a non‐specialist is dedicated statistics anxiety workshops, but some students are too anxious to attend such sessions. In this multi‐university study, lecturers presented content from such a workshop in one slide per session throughout their statistics teaching. This “Stat‐tastic

Killer Whales in the Central Tropical Pacific: Occurrence, Resightings, Morphology, and Acoustics
ABSTRACT Compared to their well‐studied coastal temperate counterparts, killer whales (Orcinus orca) in tropical‐subtropical and oceanic areas are under‐documented. We used sighting, photo‐identification, and acoustic data of killer whales in the central tropical Pacific (CTP), collected from multiple platforms between 2002 and 2023, to assess their ...

Continual decision‐making dynamics across biological organisms
ABSTRACT Decision‐making is a central function of adaptive behaviour in biological agents. However, strategies for adaptive decision‐making can vary substantially across species. Here, we aim to extend the comparative scope of decision‐making analyses to phylogenetically diverse organisms.

ABSTRACT Background Progressive collapsing foot deformity (PCFD) is a painful and function‐limiting condition most commonly affecting middle‐aged and older adults. Although custom foot orthoses (CFOs) are routinely prescribed as a conservative intervention, evidence from large clinical cohorts remains limited.

Dynamic Evolution and Transformative Trends in the Consumer Market: A Technology Paradox Perspective
ABSTRACT The consumer market is defined by tensions arising from the clash between technological advancement and consumer psychology. Current research lacks a unifying framework to explain these contradictions. Addressing this gap, we introduce a conceptual model based on technology paradox theory, which maps the dynamic process from antecedents ...

Chronic inflammation in diabetic foot ulcers elevates MMP activity and suppresses TIMP and growth factor signaling, impairing tissue repair. Phytochemicals modulate NF‐κB/MAPK pathways and enhance Nrf2–TIMP expression, restoring MMP/TIMP balance, promoting collagen deposition, angiogenesis, and re‐epithelialization, leading to effective wound healing ...
