Computational fluid dynamics based analysis of a closed thermo-siphon hot water solar system. [PDF]
One of the alternative sources of energy is solar energy which is available in abundance throughout the world. The energy contained within the solar rays is capable of starting natural convection within closed mechanical systems containing a suitable ...

Urine is a rich source of biomarkers for cancer detection. Tumor‐derived material is released into the bloodstream and transported to the urine. Urine can easily be collected from individuals, allowing non‐invasive cancer detection. This review discusses the rationale behind urine‐based cancer detection and its potential for cancer diagnostics ...

Effect of louver baffles installation on hydrodynamics of bubbling fluidization in biomass gasifier
Biomass gasification by a bubbling bed gasifier has been a promising process to produce fuels from biomass. However, the performance is limited by gas aggregation in the gasifier.

PolyPIC: the Polymorphic-Particle-in-Cell Method for Fluid-Kinetic Coupling [PDF]
Particle-in-Cell (PIC) methods are widely used computational tools for fluid and kinetic plasma modeling. While both the fluid and kinetic PIC approaches have been successfully used to target either kinetic or fluid simulations, little was done to combine fluid and kinetic particles under the same PIC framework.

Area preservation in computational fluid dynamics
Incompressible two-dimensional flows such as the advection (Liouville) equation and the Euler equations have a large family of conservation laws related to conservation of area.

Large multidimensional digital images of cancer tissue are becoming prolific, but many challenges exist to automatically extract relevant information from them using computational tools. We describe publicly available resources that have been developed jointly by expert and non‐expert computational biologists working together during a virtual hackathon

This study develops a semi‐supervised classifier integrating multi‐genomic data (1404 training/5893 validation samples) to improve homologous recombination deficiency (HRD) detection in breast cancer. Our method demonstrates prognostic value and predicts chemotherapy/PARP inhibitor sensitivity in HRD+ tumours.
