Compact Shortwave Infrared Imaging Spectrometer Based on a Catadioptric Prism

open access: yesSensors, 2022
This article demonstrates a compact prism imaging spectrometer method. A catadioptric curved prism is located at the secondary mirror position of the spectrometer and used to balance the aberrations, enlarge the dispersion width, and decrease the volume.

Computational multi-depth single-photon imaging [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
We present an imaging framework that is able to accurately reconstruct multiple depths at individual pixels from single-photon observations. Our active imaging method models the single-photon detection statistics from multiple reflectors within a pixel ...

Learning a Probabilistic Strategy for Computational Imaging Sensor Selection [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Conference on Computational Photography, 2020
Optimized sensing is important for computational imaging in low-resource environments, when images must be recovered from severely limited measurements.

Adenosine‐to‐inosine editing of miR‐200b‐3p is associated with the progression of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
A‐to‐I editing of miRNAs, particularly miR‐200b‐3p, contributes to HGSOC progression by enhancing cancer cell proliferation, migration and 3D growth. The edited form is linked to poorer patient survival and the identification of novel molecular targets.

Evolution of cortical geometry and its link to function, behaviour and ecology

open access: yesNature Communications, 2023
Studies in comparative neuroanatomy and of the fossil record demonstrate the influence of socio-ecological niches on the morphology of the cerebral cortex, but have led to oftentimes conflicting theories about its evolution.

A synthetic benzoxazine dimer derivative targets c‐Myc to inhibit colorectal cancer progression

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Benzoxazine dimer derivatives bind to the bHLH‐LZ region of c‐Myc, disrupting c‐Myc/MAX complexes, which are evaluated from SAR analysis. This increases ubiquitination and reduces cellular c‐Myc. Impairing DNA repair mechanisms is shown through proteomic analysis.

Digital-twin-driven unambiguous structured light 3D imaging with physics-aware learning

open access: yesnpj Nanophotonics
Temporal phase unwrapping (TPU) plays a pivotal role in resolving phase ambiguities in fringe projection profilometry (FPP) caused by surface discontinuities or spatially isolated features.

In-silico trial of intracranial flow diverters replicates and expands insights from conventional clinical trials

open access: yesNature Communications, 2021
In-silico trials rely on virtual populations and interventions simulated using patient-specific models and may offer a solution to lower costs. Here, the authors present the flow diverter performance assessment in-silico trial, which models the treatment

Scattering-Assisted Computational Imaging

open access: yesPhotonics, 2022
Imaging objects hidden behind an opaque shelter provides a crucial advantage when physically going around the obstacle is impossible or dangerous. Previous methods have demonstrated that is possible to reconstruct the image of a target hidden from view ...
