Secure Data Storage In Cloud Computing

open access: yesInternational Journal of Research in Computer Science, 2011
Cloud computing has gained a lot of hype in the current world of I.T. Cloud computing is said to be the next big thing in the computer world after the internet. Cloud computing is the use of the Internet for the tasks performed on the computer and it is visualized as the next- generation architecture of IT Enterprise.

Sigmoid(x): secure distributed network storage [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
Secure data storage is a serious problem for computer users today, particularly in enterprise environments. As data requirements grow, traditional approaches of secured silos are showing their limitations. They represent a single – or at least, limited –

Effects of the Fluid Replacement Method During Online Hemodiafiltration on the Solute Removal Performance and Biocompatibility Using the Asymmetric Cellulose Triacetate Membrane

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction Pre‐dilution online hemodiafiltration (Pre‐HDF) is predominantly used in Japan, whereas post‐dilution online HDF (Post‐HDF) is more common in Europe. An asymmetric cellulose triacetate (ATA) membrane may improve biocompatibility.

DeepRisk: A deep learning approach for genome-wide assessment of common disease risk

open access: yesFundamental Research
The potential for being able to identify individuals at high disease risk solely based on genotype data has garnered significant interest. Although widely applied, traditional polygenic risk scoring methods fall short, as they are built on additive ...

User Identification Based on Display Names Across Online Social Networks

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2017
User identification is very helpful for building a better profile of a user. Some works have been devoted to this issue. However, the existing works with a good performance are mainly based on the rich online data and do not consider the cost of online ...

An upstream open reading frame regulates expression of the mitochondrial protein Slm35 and mitophagy flux

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This study reveals how the mitochondrial protein Slm35 is regulated in Saccharomyces cerevisiae. The authors identify stress‐responsive DNA elements and two upstream open reading frames (uORFs) in the 5′ untranslated region of SLM35. One uORF restricts translation, and its mutation increases Slm35 protein levels and mitophagy.

A Numerical Simulation of Nanodisk Semiconductor-Plasmonic Laser Using BOR-FDTD With a Multilevel Gain Medium Model

open access: yesIEEE Photonics Journal, 2012
A temporal and spatial simulation and design of nanoplasmonic laser based on a semiconductor nanodisk is presented in this paper. A body-of-revolution finite-difference-time-domain (BOR-FDTD) simulation incorporated with a semiclassical multilevel model ...

In situ molecular organization and heterogeneity of the Legionella Dot/Icm T4SS

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We present a nearly complete in situ model of the Legionella Dot/Icm type IV secretion system, revealing its central secretion channel and identifying new components. Using cryo‐electron tomography with AI‐based modeling, our work highlights the structure, variability, and mechanism of this complex nanomachine, advancing understanding of bacterial ...

Sequence determinants of RNA G‐quadruplex unfolding by Arg‐rich regions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We show that Arg‐rich peptides selectively unfold RNA G‐quadruplexes, but not RNA stem‐loops or DNA/RNA duplexes. This length‐dependent activity is inhibited by acidic residues and is conserved among SR and SR‐related proteins (SRSF1, SRSF3, SRSF9, U1‐70K, and U2AF1).
