Conductive Hydrogels for Exogenous Sensing and Cell Fate Control

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
We engineer electrically conductive hydrogels by combining sulfated glycosaminoglycans with semiconducting polymers. These hydrogels bind bioactive proteins, including growth factors, whose release or retention can be modulated by low‐voltage stimulation. The hydrogels are also integrated as 3D channels in organic electrochemical transistors as part of

Hazards of Computerized Tomography

Archives of Neurology, 1979
To the Editor.— The complications of diagnostic contrast radiography have not been sufficiently emphasized in the neurologic literature despite the fact that both cerebral arteriography and contrast-enhanced computerized axial tomography are frequently employed in the study of much intracranial disease. In addition to the wellknown risk of anaphylaxis,

Computerized Tomography of the Orbit

International Ophthalmology Clinics, 1978
The potential for using CT to diagnose orbital lesions is clearly demonstrated in this chapter. The patients discussed were all suffering from proptosis and had other complaints such as visual disturbances, pain, or ophthalmoplegia. CT is superior to ultrasonography in its ability to reproduce anatomical structures, including the retroocular space ...
