What Is Computing with Words (CWW)?
2013There are many misconceptions about what Computing with Words is and what it has to offer. A common misconception is that CWW and NLP (Natural Language Processing) are closely related. In fact, this is not the case. CWW and NLP have different agendas and address different problems.

Computing with Words — A Framework for Human-Computer Interaction
2019In this paper we explore the possibility of using computation with words (CWW) systems and CWW-based human-computer interface (HCI) and interaction to enable efficient computation and HCI. The application selected to demonstrate the problems and potential solutions is in the context of autonomous driving.

Object Networks: A Computational Framework to Compute with Words
1999In this work, we introduce a framework as a modeling and implementation tool to compute with words. The basis of the framework is a computational model called object networks. We present the mathematical concept of objects, generic objects and fuzzy objects. The interaction of these elements composes object systems.

The perceptual computer: an architecture for computing with words
10th IEEE International Conference on Fuzzy Systems. (Cat. No.01CH37297), 2002Our thesis is that computing with words needs to account for the uncertainties associated with the meanings of words, and that these uncertainties require using type-2 fuzzy sets. Doing this leads to a proposed architecture for making judgments by means of computing with words - a perceptual computer Per-C.

Computing with words and life data
2002The problem of statistical inference on the mean lifetime in the presence of vague data is considered. Situations with fuzzy lifetimes and an imprecise number of failures are discussed.
