The distribution of ConA-binding sites on oocyte nuclear envelopes

Abstract Ferritin-conjugated concanavalin A (ConA) was used as an electron-opaque tracer to study the distribution of oligosaccharides on nuclear envelopes isolated from amphibian oocytes. ConA was not detected in the pore complexes or along the nucleoplasmic or cytoplasmic surfaces of the envelope.

ConA-binding polypeptides in jackbean cotyledons

Abstract Concanavalin A (ConA) binding components of jackbeans have been studied using two techniques: affinity chromatography on immobilized ConA, and lectin overlays using 125 I-ConA. The results indicate that the seed polypeptides recognized by ConA in each technique are different.

Velika pacifiška cona smeti

Geografija v šoli
V Sloveniji smo leta 2023 pridelali 518 kg komunalnih odpadkov na prebivalca, kar nas uvršča med države z največ odpadki. Velik del odpadkov, zlasti plastike, konča v rekah in oceanih, kjer povzroča hude okoljske težave. Najbolj znan primer je Velika pacifiška cona smeti, ki meri več kot 1,6 milijona km² in je nastala zaradi kroženja morskih tokov.
