Antihypertensive treatment and homocysteine concentrations
Metabolism, 2003Thiazides and angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitors are first-choice drugs for lowering elevated blood pressure and hence risk of cardiovascular disease. Homocysteine (tHcy) is another and independent cardiovascular risk factor and has been reported to be elevated in patients on antihypertensive therapy.

Fish Protein Concentrates in the Treatment of Kwashiorkor
The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, 1966Fifty-seven children suffering from kwashiorkor were hospitalized and given diets in which the major source of protein was from either fish protein concentrate (FPC) or skim milk. Diets containing fish protein concentrates were not well accepted by a large proportion of the children.

CONCENTRATED HUMAN ALBUMIN IN THE TREATMENT OF SHOCK
Archives of Internal Medicine, 1946W HOLE blood is the best replacement fluid for treating patients with acute hemorrhage. In an effort to overcome these difficulties plasma has been used extensively.

Treatment of DIC with Antithrombin III Concentrates
2015We administered AT III concentrates to 21 patients with DIC who failed to respond initially to heparin therapy. About 60% of these 21 patients were effectively treated with AT III concentrates by enhancing the effect of heparin and alleviating the burden of excessive plasma transfusions on the cardiovascular system.

Treatment of concentrated cyanide wastewater
Desalination, 1994Abstract The effluent of Tufftride Process, a soft nitriding process for ironrelated material, contains concentrated iron cyanide complex. Due to the nature of the effluent, a treatment process employing conventional technology may become a complex one. For this reason, a simple advanced system with new technology has been hoped for.

The Statistical Treatment of Hydrogen Ion Concentration and pH
Journal of Experimental Biology, 1980ABSTRACT A certain amount of confusion exists amongst respiratory physiologists about the statistical treatment of pH measurements taken from animals during replicated experiments. In some cases average pH (with standard deviations or standard errors as appropriate) is calculated directly whilst in others, pH determinations are converted
