Adequate tacrolimus concentration for myasthenia gravis treatment
European Journal of Neurology, 2016Background and purposeA single, oral dose of 3 mg/day tacrolimus, approved for myasthenia gravis (MG) treatment in Japan, was shown to reduce steroid dose and anti‐acetylcholine receptor (AChR) antibody titers as well as to improve MG symptoms. However, no studies have investigated the association between tacrolimus concentration and its clinical ...

UASB Treatment of Wastewater Containing Concentrated Benzoate
Journal of Environmental Engineering, 1995The upflow anaerobic sludge blanket (UASB) process removed 9799% of soluble chemical oxygen demand (COD) from wastewater containing concentrated benzoate at 37C, pH 7.5, a hydraulic retention time ...

UASB Treatment of Wastewater with Concentrated Mixed VFA
Journal of Environmental Engineering, 1995The upflow anaerobic-sludge blanket (UASB) process consistently removed 97–99% of chemical oxygen demand (COD) from wastewater containing concentrated mixed volatile fatty acids (VFA) at 37°C at loading rates of up to 24 g-COD/(Lsd) corresponding to a food/microorganism ratio of 0.78 g-COD/[g–volatile suspended solids (VSS)sd].

Treatment of dialysis membranes for simultaneous dialysis and concentration
Analytical Biochemistry, 1985Dialysis membranes used for simultaneous dialysis-concentration required pretreatment to remove uv-absorbing compounds leached from the membranes and to reduce the absorption of protein to the membranes. This was accomplished with sodium carbonate and ethanol or with "sulfur-removal solutions." Protein determinations were made with a micro-Bradford ...

Prazosin concentration monitoring in the treatment of prostatic adenoma
International Urology and Nephrology, 1991In a prospective study of 32 patients with BPH treated with Minipress (prazosin), determinations of drug plasma levels were carried out. The comparison of clinical results and serum plasma levels enabled optimalization of the dosage in long-term therapy.

TREATMENT OF PEMPHIGUS WITH CONCENTRATED VIOSTEROL
Archives of Dermatology, 1939We do not propose to enter into the controversial subject of the cause of pemphigus. We wish merely to report on the more or less successful use of massive doses of viosterol in the treatment of this condition. Ludy and his associates 1 reported 6 cases of successful treatment with viosterol in variable amounts, 12 to 45 cc.

Influence of lansoprazole treatment on diazepam plasma concentrations
Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics, 1992The possible influence of long-term treatment with lansoprazole on the single-dose pharmacokinetics of diazepam was investigated in 12 healthy male volunteers. In this double-blind randomized crossover study, 60 mg lansoprazole or placebo was administered once daily for 10 days.

TREATMENT OF PSORIASIS WITH CONCENTRATED VIOSTEROL
Archives of Dermatology and Syphilology, 1940Because of the involution of many psoriatic lesions during the summer months, when there is the greatest exposure to sunlight, Krafka 1 was led to the hypothesis that large quantities of vitamin D would be beneficial in the treatment of psoriasis. Three patients were treated with halibut liver oil with viosterol or with viosterol in varying amounts up ...

Lipoprotein(a) Concentration Increases during Treatment with Carbamazepine
Epilepsia, 2003Summary: Purpose: Treatment with carbamazepine (CBZ) is known to affect apolipoprotein B–containing lipoprotein concentrations in serum. However, little is known about the effects of anticonvulsant drugs (AEDs) on lipoprotein(a) [Lp(a)], although Lp(a) has been characterized as independent cardiovascular risk factor. We investigated prospectively the

Efficacy of Heat Treatment of Factor VIII Concentrate
Vox Sanguinis, 1988Abstract. Two batches of heat‐treated factor VIII concentrate were found to contain anti‐HIV‐positive plasma donations. The batches were dry‐heat‐treated at 68 °C for 2 and 24 h, respectively. No HIV seroconversions occurred in 13 susceptible haemophiliacs receiving a total of 540 bottles of these factor VIII preparations.
