A Treatment of the Viscosity of Concentrated Suspensions

Journal of Applied Physics, 1952
In current theories of the concentration dependence the solute molecules are treated as point centers of disturbance. The finite size that produces a shielding of two interacting particles in the presence of intervening ones reduces the interaction calculated in the point approximation and thus reduces the discrepancy between experiment and theory.

Changes in the shbg concentration during danazol treatment

Acta Obstetricia et Gynecologica Scandinavica, 1984
Abstract. Serum levels of sex hormone binding globulin (SHBG) were measured by radioelectro‐immunoassay before and during administration of danazol in daily doses varying between 200 and 800 mg for a period of 1–6 months. The patients consisted of different groups of regularly menstruating women (n = 76) and of postmenopausal women (n = 12).

Cerebral dopamine concentrations during levodopa treatment

Neurology, 1999
To the Editor: We read with interest the article by Contin et al.1 describing an application of the “pharmacological effect” compartment analysis2 to the case of levodopa. A linear transformation of the hysteresis loop of finger tapping rate as a function of the plasma levodopa concentration yielded estimates of half-life for levodopa in the ...

Serum gold concentrations during treatment with auranofin

Clinical Rheumatology, 1987
Serum gold concentrations were measured in rheumatoid arthritis patients during chronic treatment with the orally adsorbable gold compound auranofin. In agreement with data in the literature, the highest serum gold concentration was reached after 16 weeks of treatment with 6 mg auranofin daily.

Serum Concentrations of Fluoxetine in the Clinical Treatment Setting

Therapeutic Drug Monitoring, 2001
This article discusses fluoxetine serum concentrations as displayed in a clinical setting. A racemic serum fluoxetine and norfluoxetine high-performance liquid chromatography method, including ultraviolet light detection, was used for routine therapeutic drug monitoring (TDM) purposes. In all, 508 samples were analyzed. For the scientific investigation,

Factor concentrates for the treatment of factor XIII deficiency

Current Opinion in Hematology, 1998
Factor XIII deficiency is a severe autosomal recessive bleeding disorder associated with a characteristic pattern of neonatal hemorrhage and a lifelong bleeding diathesis. Even relatively minor trauma can be followed by prolonged and recurrent bleeding. Intracranial hemorrhage is a frequent complication.

Optimal Testosterone Concentration for the Treatment of Prostatic Cancer

Journal of Urology, 1985
In order to determine the effects of the absolute concentration of circulating androgens on normal and malignant androgen dependent tissue, normal adult male rats and rats bearing the Dunning R3327H prostatic adenocarcinoma were castrated and implanted with testosterone filled silastic pellets of 1, 3, 5, 10, 20 and 30 mm.
