Effect of Tracking Error of Double-Axis Tracking Device on the Optical Performance of Solar Dish Concentrator

open access: yesInternational Journal of Photoenergy, 2018
In this paper, a flux distribution model of the focal plane in dish concentrator system has been established based on ray tracking method. This model was adopted for researching the influence of the mirror slope error, solar direct normal irradiance, and

Solar Concentrators

open access: yesInternational Journal of Applied Sciences, 2010
Solar technology offers great potential in terms of supplying the world's energy needs. However, its current contribution to the world is still limited. The main factor is related to high initial cost of building the system. This paper will provide an up-to-date review of solar concentrators and their benefits to make solar technology affordable.

The planar cell polarity protein Vangl2 interacts with the PDZ‐domains of Scribble but not with a unique PDZ‐like domain in Inturned

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Structural and biochemical characterisations show that the planar cell polarity (PCP) protein Inturned harbours a unique PDZ‐like domain that does not bind canonical PDZ‐binding motifs (PBMs) like that of another PCP protein Vangl2. In contrast, the apical‐basal polarity protein Scribble contains four PDZ domains that bind Vangl2, but one PDZ domain ...

Energy, Exergy and Enviroeconomic (3E) analysis of concentrated PV and thermal system in the winter application

open access: yesEnergy Reports, 2019
In this study, a Concentrated Photovoltaic/Thermal (CPV/T) air collector has been designed and a prototype is produced. The purpose of this system is to meet the needs of heating and electricity of the building of application in cold winter days.

Solar Tests of Aperture Plate Materials for Solar Thermal Dish Collectors [PDF]

open access: yes, 1983
If a malfunction occurs in a solar thermal point-focus distributed receiver power plant while a concentrator is pointed at the Sun, motion of the concentrator may stop. As the Sun moves relative to the Earth, the spot of concentrated sunlight then slowly

Tau acetylation at K331 has limited impact on tau pathology in vivo

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We mapped tau post‐translational modifications in humanized MAPT knock‐in mice and in amyloid‐bearing double knock‐in mice. Acetylation within the repeat domain, particularly around K331, showed modest increases under amyloid pathology. To test functional relevance, we generated MAPTK331Q knock‐in mice.
