Brucella canis is a Gram‐negative bacterium that causes canine brucellosis, a zoonotic disease with serious implications for public health and the global economy. Currently, there is no effective preventive vaccine for B. canis. Control measures include diagnostic testing, isolation, and euthanasia of infected animals.

Glacial and volcanic landforms in the upper catchment of Claro River, Central Chile (35.5°S): A Late Quaternary geomorphological case study

The upper catchment of the Claro river in the central Chilean Andes is described in terms of volcanic and glacial landforms seeking to establish a relative chronology associated to events during the late Pleistocene and Holocene, which is summarized in seven phases and presented as a conceptual model.
