A Novel Machine Learning Algorithm for Cognitive Concept Elicitation by Cognitive Robots

International Journal of Cognitive Informatics and Natural Intelligence, 2017
Cognitive knowledge learning (CKL) is a fundamental methodology for cognitive robots and machine learning. Traditional technologies for machine learning deal with object identification, cluster classification, pattern recognition, functional regression and behavior acquisition.

Qualitative Software Reliability Requirements: Concept, Classification and Practical Elicitation Methods

2018 IEEE International Conference on Software Quality, Reliability and Security Companion (QRS-C), 2018
Software reliability requirements are specified at the software requirement phase to describe software reliability considerations, which are the key to ensuring software reliability, therefore gaining increasing importance. Qualitative software reliability requirements, as an essential part of software reliability requirements, reflect the idea that ...

The concept of induction and elicitation as an immunotherapeutic approach.

National Cancer Institute monograph, 1979
The concept of "induction and elicitation," propounded by Stuart Mudd, circumvents the dangers of infecting the immunologically impaired individual without abrogating the effectiveness of the antigenic stimulus provided by an initial infection with living organisms.

MadSex: collecting a spoken corpus of indirectly elicited sexual concepts

Language Resources and Evaluation, 2018
This paper introduces MadSex, a spoken corpus of 54 sociolinguistic interviews in Spanish based on the topic of sexuality. It was collected in order to study the cognitive sociolinguistic variation of sexual concepts. The paper presents and justifies methodological decisions taken during design, collection and transcription stages.

Elicitation of language learners' personal goals as design concepts

Innovation in Language Learning and Teaching, 2010
Abstract Educational engineering as a research method focuses more on the process than on the product, more on observable phenomena than on measurable differences. Ten years ago, we noticed a factor which appears to impact heavily on the design process, and we have been observing it ever since: the identification and formulation of personal goals, not ...

Eliciting concepts from the Brazilian access law using a combined approach

Proceedings of the 29th Annual ACM Symposium on Applied Computing, 2014
Lately, organizations have been subject to regulation promoting information transparency; one example of this is the Brazilian Information Access Law. This paper presents a novel way of performing requirements elicitation using both the law and a Non-Functional Requirements Patterns catalog as the information sources.

CONSTRUCT ELICITATION TECHNIQUES AND THE PRODUCTION OF INTERPERSONAL CONCEPTS IN CHILDREN

Social Behavior and Personality: an international journal, 1985
Explorations into the development of children's constructs have failed to explore systematically the effects of sorting methods upon the content of a child's constructs. This study addressed this weakness by investigating the effects of construct elicitation techniques on the content of children's constructs.

AUTOMATED REQUIREMENTS ELICITATION: COMBINING A MODEL-DRIVEN APPROACH WITH CONCEPT REUSE

International Journal of Software Engineering and Knowledge Engineering, 2003
Extracting pertinent and useful information from customers has long plagued the process of requirements elicitation. This paper presents a new approach to support the elicitation process. This approach combines various techniques for requirements elicitation which include model-based concept acquisition, goal-driven structured interview and concept ...

Knowledge-Oriented and Distributed Unsupervised Learning for Concept Elicitation

2010
In this study, we discuss a new direction of unsupervised learning and concept formation in which both domain knowledge and experimental evidence (data) are considered together. This is a reflection of a certain paradigm which could be referred to as knowledge-oriented clustering or knowledge mining (as opposed to data mining).
