ABSTRACT Accurate mechanical characterization of civil engineering structures after construction remains challenging due to the unique complexities of each structure, including geometric configurations, imperfect design modeling assumptions, soil conditions, and pervasive uncertainties in actual operational environments. Leveraging actual measurements,

Cr‐alloyed quenched and tempered prestressing steel wires were found to be as highly susceptible as non‐Cr‐alloyed ones. This finding is in contrast to the known literature. A newly developed and reproducible method for assessing susceptibility to hydrogen‐induced stress corrosion cracking was used.

Stress Evaluation for Segmental Concrete Box Girder Diaphragm [PDF]
The box girder component is a major breakthrough in the construction field for its effective geometry behavior and high torsional rigidity. However, the analysis and design of the box girder are complex due to its three dimensional behavior i.e. torsion, distortion and bending in longitudinal and transverse direction.

This study focuses on simply supported railway box girder bridges with pre‐existing cracks under high‐speed train loading. A vehicle–bridge coupled vibration model is established, and three‐dimensional dynamic stress intensity factors at the crack tip under various loading conditions are obtained using the interaction integral method.

The Effect and Mechanical Mechanism of Intermediate Diaphragms in Prefabricated T‐Beam Bridges
Current bridge design codes stipulate that prefabricated T‐beam bridges must include intermediate diaphragms, with spacing not exceeding 10 m. However, the construction of these diaphragms entails extensive overhead work, elevated safety risks, and significant challenges in quality control.

Industrial Design and Economic Analysis of Steel Box Girder Bridge with Conventional Span
To improve the industrial construction level of steel bridges, a prefabricated continuous steel box girder bridge was designed in this study, which is suitable for bidirectional four lanes and six lanes with spans ranging from 40 m to 80 m.

Reliability Assessment of Simply Supported Beam Bridge Structural Performance Based on Load Tests
Currently, bridge load tests use the verification coefficient to evaluate the structural performance of bridges in China, but this method is unsuitable. This paper presents a method that utilizes reliability to compare the actual bridge structural performance with the designed performance. Reliability functions for strain and deflection in load testing
