Concurrent object-oriented development with behavioral design patterns [PDF]
The development of concurrent applications is challenging because of the complexity of concurrent designs and the hazards of concurrent programming. Architectural modeling using the Unified Modeling Language (UML) can support the development process, but the problem of mapping the model to a concurrent implementation remains.

When Concurrency Matters: Behaviour-Oriented Concurrency
Expressing parallelism and coordination is central for modern concurrent programming. Many mechanisms exist for expressing both parallelism and coordination. However, the design decisions for these two mechanisms are tightly intertwined. We believe that the interdependence of these two mechanisms should be recognised and achieved through a single,

This study demonstrates that KRAS and GNAS mutations are more prevalent in patients with resected intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasms (IPMN) compared to those under clinical surveillance. GNAS mutations significantly differ between the two patient cohorts, indicating that their absence may serve as a potential biomarker to support conservative ...

Truly Concurrent Process Algebra with Localities [PDF]
The well-known process algebras, such as CCS, ACP and $\pi$-calculus, capture the interleaving concurrency based on bisimilarity semantics. We did some work on truly concurrent process algebras, such as CTC, APTC and $\pi_{tc}$, capture the true concurrency based on truly concurrent bisimilarities, such as pomset bisimilarity, step bisimilarity ...

Adaptive ERK reactivation hinders FLT3 tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI) treatment in FLT3/ITD acute myeloid leukemia. Here, we report that FLT3 TKI treatment rapidly induces AXL expression and upregulation that is temporally associated with the adaptive ERK reactivation.

On the Optimization of Equivalent Concurrent Computations [PDF]
In this submission, we explore the use of equality saturation to optimize concurrent computations. A concurrent environment gives rise to new optimization opportunities, like extracting a common concurrent subcomputation. To our knowledge, no existing equality saturation framework allows such an optimization.

. The explosive cyclogenesis of extratropical cyclones and the occurrence of atmospheric rivers are characteristic features of a baroclinic atmosphere, and are both closely related to extreme hydrometeorological events in the mid-latitudes, particularly ...

Granulomatous Mastitis Concurrence with Breast Cancer.
Idiopathic Granulomatous Mastitis (IGM) is a rare, chronic, non-malignant and non-life-threatening breast disease. IGM may mimic carcinoma of the breast. This case report is about concurrence of chronic granulomatous mastitis with breast cancer.
