Do climate variables and human density affect Achatina fulica (Bowditch) (Gastropoda: Pulmonata) shell length, total weight and condition factor?

open access: yesBrazilian Journal of Biology
The length-weight relationship and condition factor have been broadly investigated in snails to obtain the index of physical condition of populations and evaluate habitat quality. Herein, our goal was to describe the best predictors that explain Achatina

Neighborhood Conditions and $k$-Factors

open access: yesTokyo Journal of Mathematics, 1997
A \(k\)-factor of a graph \(G\) is a spanning subgraph which is regular of degree \(k\). The authors give conditions involving a lower bound on the order \(n\) of \(G\), the parity of \(kn\), the minmum degree of \(G\), and the cardinalities of the unions of neighborhoods of non-adjacent vertices which guarantee that \(G\) has a \(k\)-factor.

Venous Thromboembolism in Pediatric Bone Sarcoma Patients: A 10‐Year, Single‐Institution Experience Encompassing the COVID‐19 Pandemic

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Osteosarcoma (OS) and Ewing sarcoma (EWS) are the most common primary bone cancers in children, but acute thrombosis is poorly characterized in this population. Our study evaluated the rates of venous thromboembolism (VTE) and associated risk factors in pediatric patients with bone sarcomas treated over a 10‐year period encompassing

[Conditioning factors of weight condition].

open access: yesNutricion hospitalaria, 2017
Epidemiological studies show that during the last two decades childhood obesity has increased dramatically to become, one of the major public health concerns. Dietary habits, lack of physical activity and the degree of obesity rates and worsen over the years making overweight children overweight adults.determine the influence of various modifiable ...

Deep Sequencing of FLT3‐ITD Enables Response Evaluation and Post‐Treatment Monitoring in Childhood AML: An Exploratory Study

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background An internal tandem duplication in the gene encoding Fms‐like tyrosine kinase 3 (FLT3‐ITD) is associated with high relapse risk and poor prognosis in acute myeloid leukemia (AML) and plays a crucial role in treatment decisions. Measurable residual disease (MRD) analysis of FLT3‐ITD during and after treatment has shown prognostic ...

Growth, feed utilization, survival and body composition of fingerlings of Slender walking catfish, Clarias nieuhofii, fed diets containing different protein levels [PDF]

open access: yesSongklanakarin Journal of Science and Technology (SJST), 2012
The effects of test diets, containing different dietary protein levels (32, 36, 40, and 44%), on growth, feed conversionrate and survival of slender walking catfish (Clarias nieuhofii) fingerlings were studied.

Time Toxicity in Wilms Tumor: Quantifying the Burden of Healthcare Interaction in the First Year After Diagnosis

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Wilms tumor (WT) treatment imposes a significant time burden on patients and their families. Time toxicity is a patient‐centered metric that quantifies the burden of healthcare interaction. We sought to define time toxicity in the first year after diagnosis of WT and hypothesized that it would increase as tumor stage and treatment ...

A Discontinuous Individual Growth Model of Swimming Crab Portunus trituberculatus and Its Application in the Nutrient Dynamic Simulation in an Intensive Mariculture Pond

open access: yesFrontiers in Marine Science, 2022
Environmental problems such as organic pollution and eutrophication caused by highly intensive mariculture activities constrain the sustainable and healthy development of industry.

On the Cayley factorization of calotte conditions [PDF]

open access: yesDiscrete & Computational Geometry, 1994
Suppose that in a real projective plane a cycle of \(n\) lines is radiating from the vertices of a plane \(n\)-gon. Such a figure is called an \(n\)- ring. If, moreover, this figure is equal to the projection of a ring of faces surrounding a plane \(n\)-gon in 3-space, then it is called an \(n\)- calotte (the spatial figure not being coplanar).
