CONE AND FRUCT CONE: SECTIONS OF A CONE WITH A PLANE AND THE SURFACE OF A CONE
A cone is a geometric body in space, consisting of a circular base and one vertex. All lines connected from the points at the base of the cone to the vertex form a cone. The radius of the base of the cone is r, and the height is h. The lateral surface, the full surface, the volume of the cone, and the geometric shapes formed when cut by various planes ...

Volume, cones e cilindros - Parte I
Antônio e Mariana são colegas de escola e na hora do lanche seu João, dono da cantina, lhes faz um desafio: em que tipo de copo é necessário menos liquido para atingir metade da sua altura, o cônico ou o cilíndrico?

Light-cones, almost light-cones and almost-complex light-cones [PDF]
We point out an unusual relationship among a variety of null geodesic congruences; (a) the generators of ordinary light-cones and (b) certain (related) shear-free but twisting congruences in Minkowski Space-time as well as (c) asymptotically shear-free null geodesic congruences that exist in the neighborhood of Penrose's Scri in Einstein or Einstein ...

Avian ultraviolet/violet cones identified as probable magnetoreceptors
Background: The Radical-Pair-Model postulates that the reception of magnetic compass directions in birds is based on spin-chemical reactions in specialized photopigments in the eye, with cryptochromes discussed as candidate molecules.

S-cone photoreceptors in the primate retina are functionally distinct from L and M cones
Daylight vision starts with signals in three classes of cone photoreceptors sensitive to short (S), middle (M), and long (L) wavelengths. Psychophysical studies show that perceptual sensitivity to rapidly varying inputs differs for signals originating in

On Snake cones, alternating cones and related constructions
We show that the Snake on a square $SC(S^1)$ is homotopy equivalent to the space $AC(S^1)$ which was investigated in the previous work by Eda, Karimov and Repov\vs. We also introduce related constructions $CSC(-)$ and $CAC(-)$ and investigate homotopical differences between these four constructions.

Response of Spectral Reflectances and Vegetation Indices on Varying Juniper Cone Densities
Juniper trees are widely distributed throughout the world and are common sources of allergies when microscopic pollen grains are transported by wind and inhaled.
