ERRFI1, a neural crest (NC)‐associated gene, was upregulated in melanoma and negatively correlated with the expression of melanocytic differentiation markers and the susceptibility of melanoma cells toward BRAF inhibitors (BRAFi). Knocking down ERRFI1 significantly increased the sensitivity of melanoma cells to BRAFi.

Efficient Conflict Detection for Conflict Resolution
Accurate tools to detect and solve conflicts are becoming necessary to assist air traffic controllers in their task. Air traffic controllers will eventually rely on tools to test and choose alternative trajectories. Enabling such tools demands a near real-time conflict detection algorithm.

Detection of extrachromosomal circular DNA (eccDNA) in plasma samples from EGFR‐mutated non‐small cell lung cancer patients. Plasma was collected before and during treatment with the EGFR‐tyrosine kinase inhibitor osimertinib. Plasma eccDNA was detected in all cancer samples, and the presence of the EGFR gene on eccDNA serves as a potential biomarker ...

Conflict Detection of Functional Requirements Based on Clustering and Rule-Based System
Functional requirement identification is the initial stage in software development and a crucial step in the success of software development. Good functional requirements sentences should be consistent with each other or conflict-free.

Enhancing Conflict Resolution Mechanism for Automatic Model Composition
Despite the fact that model composition paradigm becomes very important and most commonly used, the support for their cooperation has not reached its full strength, especially in managing composition conflicts, because it’s often divided between and ...

Legal Conflict Detection in Interacting Legal Systems [PDF]
Acting under several jurisdictions at the same time is becoming the norm rather than the exception, certainly for companies but also (sometimes without knowing) for individuals. In these circumstances disparities among the different laws are inevitable. Here, we present a mathematical and a computational model of interacting legal specifications, along

Screening for lung cancer: A systematic review of overdiagnosis and its implications
Low‐dose computed tomography (CT) screening for lung cancer may increase overdiagnosis compared to no screening, though the risk is likely low versus chest X‐ray. Our review of 8 trials (84 660 participants) shows added costs. Further research with strict adherence to modern nodule management strategies may help determine the extent to which ...

Urinary LGALS3BP is elevated in bladder cancer patients compared to healthy controls as detected by the 1959 antibody–based ELISA. The antibody shows enhanced reactivity to the high‐mannose glycosylated variant secreted by cancer cells treated with kifunensine (KIF).

Survivin and Aurora Kinase A control cell fate decisions during mitosis
Aurora A interacts with survivin during mitosis and regulates its centromeric role. Loss of Aurora A activity mislocalises survivin, the CPC and BubR1, leading to disruption of the spindle checkpoint and triggering premature mitotic exit, which we refer to as ‘mitotic slippage’.

Randomized algorithms for probabilistic aircraft conflict detection
A mid-range conflict alerting system is proposed, based on a measure of criticality which directly takes into account the uncertainty in the prediction of the aircraft positions. The use of randomized algorithms makes the computation of the criticality measure tractable.
